I am constantly asked by people who are fairly new to porn about suggestions for films to watch. They tell me they want films with good story lines, good performers and of course, great sex. I will generally recommend getting one of the bigger budget films that have what they want. In that vein, here are some thumbnails of recent films that have either won or been nominated for Best Film awards recently at AVN, XBIZ and the upcoming XRCO awards in April.

For those who have been looking for films with stories, drama, action, a mainstream feel and great sex, I strongly suggest checking out these films I have reviewed previously and you are sure to find exactly what you are looking for.

Aftermath – Wicked Pictures – With a great cast this film was done on location in California and New York City and has a definite mainstream feel throughout. It stars jessica drake and Tyler Nixon along with a solid supporting cast. It is a very compelling, taut, dramatic story of what can happen in a “May-September” romance. After Tyler’s father passes away, he comes across some things his dad left behind and finds some photos of a woman he obviously had been having a secret affair with. Tyler is bent on finding out who this woman was and what really took place. In New York City he finally meets the woman, jessica drake, and it is immediately a very dramatic, uncomfortable union between these two. But Tyler needs to find out more and in the process the two of them begin to have feelings for one another, right or wrong and it creates even more problems. How they are resolved makes for a very solid finale to this excellent film. Solid and believable performances by drake and Nixon. Be sure to put “Aftermath” on your list.

Scond Chances – New Sensations – Another deftly written and directed film from Jacky St. James. This was the breakthrough film and performance for Carter Cruise who would go on to win a boatload of awards for her performances in her first year in the industry. Carter plays Madison who thought she had met the love of her life in her first year at college, football star Josh (Chad White). But she finds out it was all a prank, a set up and she was the butt of jokes by classmates.  Very hurt by this betrayal, she spends the next three years trying to move on with the help of her friend Dean and fun loving roommates, Olivia and Lucas. Now it’s her senior year and Josh comes back unexpectedly into her life. Once again old feelings resurface along with new ones. While she is older and wiser now she can’t help wonder if there is still something good for the both of them with a second chance. Well written, very solid acting, great sex scenes and a compelling, realistic story plus the performance by Carter Cruise makes “Second Chances” worthy of every award and nomination it has received and should be on your must have list.

Not Jersey Boys XXX A Porn Musical – X-Play – We’ve given you two dramas to enjoy, now it’s time for some comedy and music with this much nominated terrific parody. Based on the Broadway show and mainstream film, Will Ryder’s parody version of the rise of the Four Seasons singing group in the 60’s is spot on. Starring Tommy Pistol as Frankie Valli the film has some very good dramatic scenes, but it is also loaded with some funny characters, dialogue and a lot of steamy sex. There are a couple of non sex performances in the film by Will Ryder and Roy Karch that are perfectly done. The film follows the story line of the group’s rise to fame very closely. The parody versions of the Four Season songs is cleverly done with adult lyrics and just enough melody change to keep it legal. Pistol, once again shows his versatility as the consummate actor and he also shows off a very solid Frankie Valli like singing voice as well. With a good supporting cast, some very sexy ladies, everything about this parody is entertaining, enjoyable and fun. If you were, or are, a fan of this hit singing group, then you definitely need to add “Not Jersey Boys XXX A Porn Musical” to your porn library.

Those are just three that we highlighted, but there are others to check out such as “Hollywood Babylon”  from Evil Angel, “24 XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” from Wicked Pictures, from Digital Playground  “Apocalypse X”, there is DreamZone Entertainment’s “Cape Fear XXX” and from Vivid Entertainment “Wetwork”.

These are all couples friendly, filled with all kinds of drama, action, steamy sex, great story lines and superb acting. 2014 proved to be a banner year for top flight productions geared to couples wanting more than just sex in a film. From the looks of things thus far, 2015 is going to provide much the same. So look for all that these companies, producers, director and performers are bringing your way with some outstanding productions for your entertainment and enjoyment.
