Lois Ayres 1

She was born Sondra Stillman May 24, 1963 in Los Angeles but her growing up years took place across country in Boston, a far cry from the California way of life. After graduating from school the 5’6′, 36B-26-35 beauty began her career by modeling for several men’s magazines. Hard to believe, but it was actually Sondra’s mom who wrote the letters pitching her daughter to the magazines. The letters and attached photos obviously worked because Sondra, now 18, started to garner a lot of jobs appearing in a number of men’s magazines. The work was quite lucrative, but that was just the beginning.

From modeling Sondra made a some adult films in 1984 appearing in a couple of Svetlana’s Hawaiian beach films as just another one of the horny babes rolling around in the sun getting a tan between getting laid by some stud. No word on how her mom felt about that. In her very first film “Surrender in Paradise” she only did a girl/girl scene. She began to gain some good notices as the lead in the first Dark Bros. film, “Let Me Tell Ya ‘Bout White Chicks”. However, she created a small problem when she failed to show up on day two of the shoot so the script was changed from a narrative story to an episodic video. By now she had also changed her name to Lois Ayres and would go on to star in “The Devil In Miss Jones 3 & 4”, a couple of Dark Bros. classics, as well as “Every Woman Has a Fantasy 2” Because she was appearing in so many at the time, Lois became known as the “Queen of the Sequels”.

Her first boy-girl scene was with the legend, Ron Jeremy, who got most of the newbies back then. It was also quite common for Ms. Ayres to specialize in interracial sex scenes at a time when a number of other girls wouldn’t do them, appearing in films like “The Queen of Spades”. She admits her first sex scenes weren’t very good because her mind was on other things, mainly the money she was getting paid. Once she learned to relax and just enjoy what was taking place, she became as explosive a female on screen as there was. Watching her giving and taking with raw, full enthusiasm and emotion made her partners give even more and made her scenes very explosive and something special.

She did over 250 films in her career which was more than enough to establish a name for herself as either the star or co star. Her acting skills were average, but it was her all too true white-trash appearance that was more than just a screen persona. While she mainly performed as a very sexy platinum blonde, she did some as a brunette or red head. She was a total street nymph who delighted in having sex with rockers of the day. Between the business, the sex and rock and roll Lois found herself with a drug problem that was getting serious.

In 1989 she called it quits and secured some help to recover and get clean. She returned a couple of years later but things had changed in the film part of the industry. So she took to stripping in 1996 making quite a name for herself in Japan and elsewhere and doing extremely well financially. She would continue along those lines making club appearances for several years and always drawing packed houses for her shows.

At last report Ms. Ayres, who would be 52 now, was living in Athens, Greece as well as having a home in Los Angeles and has remained sober and clean. Though she only made a little over 100 films, her contributions were recognized when she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame. It is not clear what she may be doing today, but a few years back it had been reported was studying to get her certificate to teach English and work at casting women who wanted to do movies for a company in Italy and also to learn the art of the strip tease.
