This edition we take you to Las Vegas and some great things to do and see on your visit. Believe it or not, none of these attractions or places to go are on “the strip” or connected to any hotels.

Pinball Hall of Fame – Located on E. Tropicana Ave. it is free admission to see this huge array of classic and old pin ball machines. You can trade your dollars for quarters to use and play as many games as you like on some great old machines.

The Haunted Museum – Located between the strip and downtown this place  is a cross between a haunted house, funhouse and museum. There are 30 different rooms that hold spooky collectible, paranormal things and a lot more weird and spooky things to see.

The Neon Museum – This is a non profit run operation that is an incredible look at Vegas past. The collections of old neon signs and trappings from Sin City’s early days is something you should not miss seeing and getting photos of.

Fremont Street Experience – Located downtown this area is a “must visit” stop. Many of the old hotel/casinos are there like the Golden Nugget, there is a 1,500 foot long canopy above with an incredible light and music show every hour, street artists and a lot more.

The Mob Museum – This is three floors of of exhibits. There is a speakeasy, a crime lab and so much more on hand at this incredible place. There are even distillery tastings and interactive experiences for the visitors to the museum.

Ethel M. Chocolates – Everyone is familiar with this brand. They offer tours daily, along with samples, so you can see just how these sweet treats are produced. Behind the factory you can also visit the 4 acre botanical cactus, the largest in the Southwest.

Hoover Dam – Any trip to Las Vegas should include this man made marvel built in 1935. It is less than an hour’s drive. There are daily tours so you can see how this magnificent dam works. The amount of concrete used to build the dam was 4,360,000 cubic yards!
