Los Angeles, CA – April 28 2023 – Nominations for the 39th Annual X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) Awards Show have been announced, and reigning AVN & XBIZ Male Performer of the Year, four-time AVN Best Actor, filmmaker, and Gamma contract performer Seth Gamble has been honored with the association’s top nominations for his profession, Male Performer of the Year and Best Actor.

Gamble’s ubiquitous presence is nowhere more evident than in the XRCO Awards’ biggest honor – the Best Feature award. Of the six titles nominated for 2023, he appeared in four – the NightMoves award-winning Dark Is The Night (Wicked Noir), Drift (Deeper), Stars: The Jane Wilde Story (Adult Time), and Going Up (Lust Cinema), for which he also earned the organization’s coveted Best Actor nomination.

“I am very humbled to receive these nominations from the X-Rated Critics Organization, particularly Male Performer of the Year. And I’m grateful to Casey Calvert for the chance to be a part of Going Up, which was a very special project for her and for all of us who worked on it,” enthused Gamble. “It’s a role I’m proud of and it’s very gratifying to receive the XRCO’s Best Actor nomination for it.” (Gamble earned AVN’s Best Leading Actor trophy for his performance in January).

“Dark Is the Night was a passion project for both James Avalon and I, as we’re both longtime fans of film noir stories,” the actor continued. “Kayden Kross put a massive amount of time and effort into Drift and she rightfully expected the same level of commitment from everyone else in the cast and crew, and I believe the spectacular results speak for themselves. And I’ll always be thankful to both Bree Mills and Jane Wilde for Stars: The Jane Wilde Story – Jane poured her heart, body and soul into it, which inspired me to go even deeper in my performance. So, thank you, XRCO, for recognizing not just my own performances, but the immense effort put into these great films by such wonderful filmmakers, great ensemble casts, and hardworking crews.”

A fifth film starring Gamble, the uproarious Spideypool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody (Wicked Comix), emerged as the sole nominated film in the XRCO’s long-running Best Parody category. “It was exciting to revisit the character,” the actor observed of his latest opportunity to portray Wade Wilson, the Merc With a Mouth. “I’ll always be grateful to Axel Braun for giving me my fourth chance to really double down and push Deadpool in new directions. Spideypool XXX is the most hilarious movie I’ve done, bar none. I relished giving the character wilder dimensions than ever and getting to mentor Tyler Cruise, who did a wonderful job as Spider-Man and is continuing to grow as a leading man in his own right.”
