LOS ANGELES, CA – (May 14, 2018) –  Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that filming has begun on the next highly anticipated release from its award-winning Wicked Comix imprint – Deadpool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. The legendary director’s first parody to go before the cameras since his chart-topping Editor’s Choice Justice League XXX swept the 2018 AVN Awards, Deadpool XXX finds Seth Gamble taking on the role of Wade Wilson – the highly trained mercenary whose amazing regenerative abilities are second only to his hyperawareness and raunchy humor.

“I am stoked and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to play this iconic role,” said Gamble, who famously played Luke Skywalker in Braun’s epic Star Wars XXX, the highest-selling adult movie in history. “Every time I’ve done a movie with Axel it’s been an amazing experience, and I look forward to working alongside this fantastic cast and giving 110% to this awesome project!”

And since Braun was actually the first to have the “merc with a mouth” on screen a full three years before Ryan Reynolds, with his 2013 parody Wolverine XXX, this time he’s bringing another beloved character to life: Lady Deadpool, played here by none other than Wicked’s own superstar contract girl jessica drake.

“Working with Axel is always very…eventful,” said drake with a wink. “He definitely has a unique vision, and while I am not allowed to go into details about the plot or characters, I can easily say this is going to be another fun, sexy, outstanding piece of adult filmmaking!”

Acclaimed in both the adult and mainstream entertainment spaces for his big-budget parodies – Braun was famously profiled in a six-page spread by Empire Magazine – with Deadpool XXX the director is blurring the line between Hollywood and ‘Porn Valley’ even further. “I actually co-wrote the script with The Soska Sisters,” Braun revealed. “They are not only super talented and awesome, but also massive fans of the character, and the result is by far the funniest screenplay of my entire career.” Known to genre fans as the Twisted Twins, Jen and Sylvia Soska are the identical twin directors of such classics as American Mary, See No Evil 2, and Dead Hooker in a Trunk, as well as the hosts of the cult TV Show Hellevator. The filmmakers are currently developing a reboot of David Cronenberg’s grindhouse classic Rabid.

Deadpool XXX also marks the first time in Braun’s five-year tenure at Wicked that he will direct fellow contract director Brad Armstrong, who is taking on the role of Cable, played in the mainstream version by Josh Brolin.

“Brad is not only an amazingly talented director, but quite possibly also the best actor in the business,” said Braun. “He is also notorious for his sharp sense of humor, so believe me when I say that his contribution to this project is pretty priceless!”

With his latest production, Braun is once again bringing his meticulous perfectionism and comic-geek cred to the superhero genre through spectacular costumes which often outclass their mainstream counterparts and, of course, steamy sex scenes. In addition to Gamble, drake, and Armstrong, the cast includes Romi Rain, Aiden Ashley, Ana Foxxx, and AVN reigning Female Performer of the Year Angela White.
