Digital Playground is one of the few adult film companies still doing features with storylines, plots, acting, top stars and plenty of sex that people want to see. They are also fortunate to have one of the most awarded directors in adult film history in Ricky Greenwood to helm these films. Once again, he has brought together all the elements that go into making a feature film not only filled with steamy sex scenes, but a story, a plot, a beginning and end all brought together by a fantastic cast of performers. It has all the needed pieces production make this a “must see” film. In this production Greenwood has touched all the bases and hit a grand slam home run. It has been nominated for Best Feature Film from both AVN and XMA, along with a several other individual and scene nominations which, alone, is a testament to its perfection. As if that weren’t enough, there is one more addition to this film that is ground breaking. We will touch on this later in the review.
As for this gripping, loads of action story and plot, Ryan Reid stars as a woman betrayed by her lover (Ricky Johnson) and her sister (Elly Clutch). There is sex right away but it is a very rough, sadistic and heavy duty scene that sees Ryan basically left for dead as her ex boyfriend and his goons take off. But she also has a big problem with her sister that will play out in a revengeful way. But out of nowhere she is found and rescued by a man called Six. He is a martial arts master and played by long time porn vet Mike Horner. He becomes her master and as part of the process to getting better physically and mentally, he also trains her in the fighting arts so that she can strike back at those who have done her wrong. He also sets up fighters Yhivi and Scott Nails to be with her as they work together to plot revenge against her ex boyfriend, his gang and her sister’s upcoming big wedding. It is the ultimate revenge for what they did to her and payback is going to be very explosive and chaotic to say the least. Let the fun begin.
What makes this entire film work is that Greenwood has brought several elements to the film that will make you wonder “what the hell?”. Like mayhem and wild action? You got it. Like that old 80’s kung fu type action? You got it. Like fighting sisters out to ruin one another? You got it. Like sleazy, but lovable characters? You got it. Like big time gangbangs, blowbangs and hard driving sex? You got it! Put it all together along with some incredible acting performances and you have one helluva edge of your seat excursion. It is no wonder that Greenwood, cast members, production teams are all nominees for various awards by both AVN and XMA. But the amazing part of this is the absolute stand out performance by Elly Clutch as Ryan Reid’s power hungry sister. Many will not know the name and for good reason. That is because “Deadly Vows” is Elly Clutch’s very first porn movie. Not only that, but her performance was so well done it earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination by both AVN and XMA! That is a rarity in this industry, but the nomination is well deserved, as it is for all the other nominees in this film.
All I can add is do not miss getting hold of this one, it will be well worth your time. Now, I am off to watch this brilliant effort once again. Enjoy it folks!
