Casey Calvert & Scarlet Red Star in the Romance Line’s First Lesbian Love Story
LOS ANGELES (August 26, 2015) – Women’s Equality Day commemorates August 26, 1920, the day the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution was certified into law, granting women the right to vote. Fittingly, Wicked Pictures is saluting this historic legislative decision’s 95th anniversary with the release of ‘Girlfriends,’ an empowering all-female drama which focuses on a self-actualized woman’s success in finding love, happiness and fulfillment. The first lesbian love story in the acclaimed Wicked Passions romance line, this new release was written and directed by Stormy Daniels.
As Ms. Daniels’ story begins, small town girl Jamie (Casey Calvert) has made the difficult decision to tell her parents that she is in a same sex relationship. Unfortunately, her family does not react well to the news and Jamie decides to go to Los Angeles to visit her best friend Sarah (Scarlet Red). Jamie is happy to discover California is far more accepting. Finally able to be happy and at peace, Jamie meets a woman named Pam. As things heat up between Jamie and Pam, Sarah begins acting strange. Is it because Sarah doesn’t like Pam, or because she wants to be more than just “girlfriends?”
Co-starring AJ Applegate, Sasha Heart, August Ames, and Lily Cade, this sensual and innovative release is the fourteenth title in the Wicked Passions franchise to be directed by Ms. Daniels, who is currently a Best Director (Features) nominee in the 2015 NightMoves Awards.
For his part, Wicked Pictures President and Owner Steve Orenstein couldn’t be happier with what Ms. Daniels is doing with this acclaimed series. “We’ve received great responses to this line, and now, due to the requests from retailers and consumers, Stormy has created a lesbian Wicked Passions release written and shot in the same unique way as our heterosexual Passions titles. I believe fans, reviewers and consumers will all be very pleased with the results.”
Beyond the sexy performances, realistic dialogue and timely storyline, the excellence of Girlfriends is evident in the care Wicked Passions has put into this high-end DVD release. In addition to the 16×9 widescreen HD feature, the disc includes three bonus sex scenes, a sensual still gallery, motion menus, trailers and more. And it all comes encased in a stylish O-card showcasing Calvert and Red.
Never one to rest on her laurels, Ms. Daniels is currently putting the finishing touches on the most ambitious project of her career – a western. Co-produced by Wicked and Adam & Eve, ‘Wanted’ features Daniels as well as Wicked contract stars jessica drake and Brad Armstrong, 2015 AVN Female Performer of the Year Anikka Albrite, XCritic.com Best Actress Allie Haze, AVN/XRCO award-winner Amber Rayne, AVN Hall of Fame performer Steven St. Croix, and Brendon Miller. It is scheduled to go on sale September 16th, 2015.

About Wicked Pictures:
Established in Canoga Park, California on March 1, 1993, Wicked Pictures was formed with a firm commitment to producing quality adult productions created specifically for women and couples, a decision the company has stayed true to for over twenty years, even when this mission has seemed at odds with prevailing economic trends. And after a health scare in 1998 led many companies to begin instituting policies of mandatory condom usage, Wicked is the only producer still safeguarding performers’ health by continuing to adhere to this policy over fifteen years later. Wicked continues to diversify its commitment to couples’ intimacy through such initiatives as the romance-driven Wicked Passions label, niche imprints like Wicked Comix and Wicked Fairy Tales, the AVN / XBIZ award-winning educational series “jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex” and the Wicked Sensual Care Collection of luxurious lubricants and enhancers. These forward-thinking ventures allow Wicked to explore new ground while staying true to its vision of producing quality adult entertainment and strengthening its appeal to women and couples.
