DVD Edition of Four-Time AVN Director of the Year Axel Braun’s Acclaimed Blockbuster Features Bonus Sex Scene With Captain Marvel & Deadpool
LOS ANGELES, CA – (APRIL 26, 2022) – Four-time AVN Director of the Year and Wicked Pictures Head of Production Axel Braun today announced the DVD release of the most recent production in his Wicked Comix imprint, the AVN, XBIZ, and NightMoves award-winning blockbuster Black Widow XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. Starring Penthouse Pet of the Year Lacy Lennon in her AVN award-winning turn as the titular superhero portrayed in the mainstream film by Scarlett Johansson, the DVD’s bonus features include an all-new sex scene featuring Captain Marvel (Kenzie Taylor) and Deadpool (three-time AVN Best Actor and Gamma Exclusive Performer Seth Gamble). In addition, the first 500 copies are shipped as a 2-disc collector’s edition set that include a full non-sex version of the movie.
In addition to Lennon’s Best Actress-winning turn as the iconic Natasha Romanov, Black Widow XXX earned AVN awards for Best Featurette, Best Screenplay (Braun), and Outstanding Comedy. Prior to its AVN sweep, Braun’s blockbuster had earned the NightMoves First Choice Award, a coveted distinction recognizing the excellence of films released after the magazine’s voting deadline.
At the 2022 XBIZ Awards, Braun earned Best Art Direction while Lennon, Gamble, and co-stars Elena Koshka and Ramon Nomar took home Best Sex Scene – Feature Movie trophies for the volcanic four-way that features prominently in the film’s climax. A trained opera singer, Lennon’s previous Braun bona fides include playing Jean Grey in Captain Marvel XXX. in which she also sang the film’s theme song Asses, a spoof of Celine Dion’s Ashes from Deadpool 2, which propelled the award-winning parody to a Best Soundtrack AVN trophy. Besides his brilliant interpretation of Deadpool, Braun protégé Gamble has played characters as challenging and diverse as Luke Skywalker, Captain Boomerang, and Mr. Hyde in award-winning films over the years. Also a Braun regular, Nomar thrilled fans with a canonical portrayal of the classic comic book version of Tony Masters, complete with Taskmaster’s signature skull mask and Brooklyn accent. Russian-born, six-foot-tall Koshka played Natasha Romanov’s frenemy Yelena Belova, the “other” Black Widow portrayed by Florence Pugh in the Marvel film.
In addition to the seven trophies already earned, Braun’s masterwork is currently nominated for four XRCO Awards – Best Parody, Best Comedy, Best Actress, and Best Director. The awards will be announced at an industry-only Hollywood gala on May 5th, 2022.
