LOS ANGELES, CA – (MARCH 1, 2023) – Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce Vanity is now available on DVD exclusively from Pulse Distribution. Starring Blake Blossom, the release finds 2023 AVN & XBIZ Performer of the Year, filmmaker, and Gamma Films contract star Seth Gamble returning to the world of sophisticated visual erotica he’s depicted in such acclaimed anthologies as The Red Room and the 2023 XBIZ award winner Money (Best Sex Scene, Vanna Bardot & Gamble). Vanity is a visual anthology showcasing four industry superstars in scenarios that are authentic in their depiction of the many faces of female poise and empowerment.
“Everything I direct, whether it’s for a visual anthology or a fully-scripted, narrative feature, starts with a single image, a single feeling,” the filmmaker said of the project’s genesis. “With Vanity, I wanted to depict scenes that celebrate the female side of self-reliance and self-assurance. A true belief in oneself from a woman’s perspective. As usual I thank Ryan Ray, Billy Visual, and the rest of my wonderful crew for helping me bring these concepts to life in a completely visual format.”
For Vanity’s first segment, titled Drawn To You, Gamble and his team created a piece of reflective erotica which finds Blake Blossom posing playfully and seductively before a mirror in which an even more glamorous, sensual, and idealized version of herself appears. “I was so happy to work with Seth because we have great chemistry, and when he explained the idea for this project, I was intrigued,” said Blossom. “To me, Vanity means a deep sense of self love and I found myself really immersed into the story.”
The second scene, Prove Yourself True, finds Charlotte Sins posing playfully and seductively, teasing Gamble before taking what she wants. “I strived to take the viewer one step beyond the relationship theme of the story and bring the symbolic sides of Charlotte’s character to life in a completely visual way,” the director enthused.
With its artful photography, fetish themes, and darkly seductive soundtrack, the third sequence, I’ll Misbehave, immediately suggests a distinctly B&D relationship. Maddy May’s fresh-faced good looks and smoldering eyes make her the perfect submissive in Gamble’s scenario, and her performance supports Vanity’s overarching theme of female empowerment – it’s clear her character finds serving a dominant to be a very fulfilling choice. “Maddy understood the scene immediately,” revealed the actor/director. “First and foremost, a sub is not a doormat. They have feelings and needs, and so they shouldn’t serve apathetically or reluctantly. A real dom wouldn’t want a doormat anyway. They want someone who truly understands the power dynamic at play. Maddy brought a lot of energy and charisma to the scene, and our chemistry is very palpable.”
May was only too happy to concur with Gamble’s take on I’ll Misbehave. “Working with Seth is always a great experience, and being able to be a part of his vision was phenomenal! It combined a favorite kink of mine and gonzo in the same video. Vanity is definitely one of my favorites!”
Sheer Pleasure, the project’s lingerie-themed finale, features Gamble and Ryan Reid. “Ryan has a charisma that is delightful, appealing, and enchanting,” the director observed. “She feels very natural, and a scene like this really required someone with an exhibitionistic streak as well as a great deal of stamina, and she delivered all that and more.”
“Being a part of Seth’s set made me feel so sexy,” Reid enthused about the project’s super-stylish finale. “Vanity allowed me to truly be myself on camera, and I’m very excited to be a part of more of his movies and scenes!”
