Axel Braun & Asa Akira Earn Top Honors at Star-Studded Industry-Only Event

LOS ANGELES, CA – (April 15, 2015) – From the red carpet to the awards show stage, jessica drake, Asa Akira, Brad Armstrong and Axel Braun took the 2015 XRCO (X-Rated Critics Organization) Awards Show by storm. The star-studded soiree was held Saturday night, April 11, at Hollywood’s Lure Nightclub.

Now in its 31st year, the industry-only event began on a poignant note, with the induction of Axel Braun’s father, legendary adult film pioneer Lasse Braun, into the XRCO Hall of Fame. The latest director to join the Wicked family, Axel would make several trips to the stage over the course of the evening. His breakout Wicked Fairy Tales hit, Cinderella XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, received Best Parody – Drama, while the overall quality of his output in the genre was rewarded with Best Director – Parody honors. These new accolades represent Braun’s fifth Best Parody and fourth Best Director trophies from the XRCO, respectively.

Staying true to the organization’s commitment to “giving writers and editors from the adult entertainment industry a voice in selecting the yearly best,” the magnitude of contract superstar Asa Akira’s crossover success was recognized with one of the night’s top honors – the Mainstream Adult Media Favorite award. When they weren’t winning awards, the Wicked Girls were presenting them – contract superstar, director and sexual wellness authority jessica drake joined Ms. Akira on stage to present some of the evening’s top awards.
