LOS ANGELES, CA – (November 26, 2019) – Global adult entertainment innovator Wicked Pictures and the lines it distributes have received sixty 2020 XBIZ Awards nominations, with nearly half going to its acclaimed trio of Editor’s Choice hits Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, Lost Love, and Divine, the latter two directed by blockbuster creator Brad Armstrong and starring Wicked Girl jessica drake. The Wicked team’s richly diverse productions were recognized by the XBIZ editorial staff alongside such fine feature contributions as Mike Quasar’s After Forever and Hank Hoffman’s Sex & Lies. These acclaimed releases from each of the studio’s major in-house imprints (Wicked Comix, Wicked Blockbuster, Wicked Passions, and Wicked Feature) spotlight the gifts of their creators as well as the talent of industry superstars Kenzie Taylor, Avi Love, and Penny Pax who, like jessica drake for Lost Love, all received Best Actress nominations. (A full list of nominees appears below.)
Having earned recognition in twelve major categories, Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody emerged as Wicked’s most nominated release. Braun’s Wicked Comix smash hit earned Feature Movie of The Year, Best Director – Feature Movie, Best Actress (Kenzie Taylor), Best Actor (Quinton James), Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Special Effects, Screenplay of the Year, Best Editing, Marketing Campaign of the Year and two Best Sex Scene – Feature Release nominations.
While renowned for his epic parodies, Braun received praise in other fields as well. Axel Braun’s Short Hair Don’t Care earned an All-Sex Release of the Year nomination, while Axel Braun’s Dirty Blondes 3 snared a Best Sex Scene – All Sex Release nod. His GirlFest franchise was nominated for All-Girl Series of the year, and The Brat Pack, which the elder Braun produced for his son Rikki, received a Best Sex Scene – All Sex nomination as well. Axel’s prodigious work over the last twelve months was recognized with a Best Director – Body of Work nomination.
Veteran contract writer, director, actor, and production designer Brad Armstrong led the way for Wicked’s original productions, with the elegiac Editor’s Choice Lost Love earning ten major nominations. Lost Love‘s fine performances, taut direction, and outstanding production values were recognized with such important noms as Feature Movie of the Year, Best Director – Feature Movie, Best Actress – Feature Release (jessica drake), Best Actor – Feature Release (Ryan Driller), Best Supporting Actress (Penny Pax), Best Supporting Actor (Small Hands), Best Non-Sex Performance (Frank Bukkwyd), Screenplay of the Year, Best Cinematography, and Best Sex Scene – Feature Release (jessica drake and Small Hands).
jessica drake’s impeccably stylish, Brad Armstrong-directed production Divine snared a quartet of major nominations, including All-Sex Release of the Year, Best Sex Scene All-Sex (drake, Small Hands, and Will Havoc), Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography. In addition to her acting and performing accolades, writer-director-producer-host jessica’s tireless work as a sexual wellness educator and sex worker rights activist was celebrated with a nomination for Sexpert of the Year, while her ever-expanding mainstream media profile was recognized in the Crossover Star of the Year category. The creative promotional roll-out of jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex: Senior Sex earned a Marketing Campaign of the Year nomination.
Industry stalwart Mike Quasar’s work for the Wicked Passions label was rewarded handsomely, particularly his romantic dramas After Forever and …Upon Further Reflection. After Forever received six nods, including Erotic-Themed Release of the Year, Best Actress – Erotic-Themed Release (Penny Pax), and Best Actor – Erotic-Themed Release (Derrick Pierce). …Upon Further Reflection snared noms for Best Actress – Erotic-Themed Release (Avi Love), and Best Sex Scene – Erotic-Themed Release (Avi Love and Ryan Mclane).
Outside lines distributed by the company, including European powerhouse Dorcel, were all recipients of major nominations. And in recognition of the Wicked brand’s continuing success in newer ventures, Wicked Sensual Care, the acclaimed creator of luxurious lubricants and enhancers, was recognized with a Sex Lubricant Company of the Year nomination, and received product nominations for Classic Flavor Aqua Watermelon (Sex Lubricant of the Year) and Overtime (Sex Enhancement Product of the Year).
Given its outstanding track record in production, performance, eroticism, and innovation, it came as no surprise that XBIZ should honor Wicked Pictures with two of its most coveted nominations – Studio Site of the Year and Studio of the Year. For his part, Wicked President and Owner Steve Orenstein couldn’t be more pleased to see his directors, contract stars and executives earning such recognition. “As the business continues to evolve I’m more proud than ever to see so much of our yearly output receive nominations. The work of our contract people – all of whom earned nominations in multiple fields – continues to stand out from the pack and be recognized. Of course, all of this great work is not just the effort of our in-house team. I thank all of the independent directors, actors, and actresses for all they do, and I appreciate XBIZ for continuing to recognize the effort we put into delivering the best product possible.”
Wicked Pictures congratulates its talented performers, filmmakers, distributors, web partners, and staff on their 2020 XBIZ nominations. From ambitious high-tech epics to the most intimate of love stories, this forward-thinking studio continues to prove that it is built to last. For a complete list of nominations, see below.

ABOUT WICKED PICTURES
Established in Canoga Park, California in March 1993, Wicked Pictures was formed with a firm commitment to producing quality adult productions created specifically for women and couples, a decision the company has stayed true to for over twenty-six years, even when this mission seemed at odds with prevailing economic trends. And after a health scare in 1998 led many companies to begin instituting policies of mandatory condom usage, Wicked is the only producer still safeguarding performers’ health by continuing to adhere to this policy over twenty years later. Wicked continues to diversify and expand its commitment to couples’ intimacy through such initiatives as the romance-driven Wicked Passions label, the AVN / XBIZ award-winning franchises Wicked Comix and Wicked Fairy Tales, the award-winning educational series jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex, and the Wicked Sensual Care line of luxurious lubricants and enhancers. These forward-thinking ventures allow Wicked to explore new ground while staying true to its core vision of producing quality adult entertainment and strengthening its appeal to women and couples.
