Los Angeles, CA USA / Milan, ITALY – March 9 2023 – Wicked Pictures has been honored with nine major nominations by the Doppio Senso Night Award Show. Taking place Sunday March 12 in Milan, Italy, the event is the creation of popular journalist and host Mossimo Bonera, owner of Doppio Senso Night, a live weekly television show airing on Italy’s Prima Free network. Wicked is the only imprint to have multiple nominations in the Best International Movie, Best International Actress, and Best International Screenplay categories.
AVN & XBIZ Male Performer of the Year, four-time AVN Best Actor, filmmaker, and Gamma contract performer Seth Gamble’s Deranged earned both Best International Movie and Best International Actress (Kenzie Taylor). Produced by Axel Braun, Deranged toplines Taylor, and AVN, XBIZ, and XRCO Best Actor Tommy Pistol as Dr. Joseph Curwen, a renowned, albeit controversial, psychologist. Taylor portrays Charlie, a fellow psychologist whose unrelenting desire to meet Dr. Curwen is soon revealed to have an ominous, obsessive motivation.

She fit the role perfectly, and I knew she had the passion to deliver an outstanding performance. She really went to a whole other level in fleshing out the secrets that made Charlie so fascinating. She gave us a very transparent look at what true sociopathy looks like, while being wholly original and inspired in her take on the character.”
Two Wicked releases featuring Gamble, Spideypool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, and James Avalon’s Dark Is The Night, collected multiple nominations each. Braun’s Wicked Comix superhero parody received Best International Film, Best International Director, and Best International Screenplay, while Avalon’s Wicked Noir thriller earned Best International Director and Best International Screenplay.
A third, Stormy Daniels’ supernaturally-tinged couples film Hysteria, snared Aiden Ashley a Best International Actress nomination.
As befits a company excelling in so many areas of performance and production, Wicked Pictures was also honored with the coveted International Studio of the Year nomination.
