(Los Angeles, CA / November 21, 2018) — Whitney Wright is officially an AVN Awards nominee this year with five noms honoring her work as a performer in five categories for 2019.
The in-demand starlet, who broke out in a big way this year as a leading lady in adult’s top studios, earned a nomination for Female Performer of the Year, Best Actress – Feature (for Wicked Pictures’ Cursed), Best Actress – Featurette (for Missa X release The Governess), Best Group Sex Scene (for Pure Taboo’s series Future Darkly: The White Room) and Best Orgy/Gangbang Movie for her star-making turn in Pure Taboo’s Prom Night.
“2018 was an incredible year for me, and I want to thank AVN for awarding me with every single one of these nominations,” says Wright, who also received a nom in 2017 for Fan Award: Hottest Newcomer and in 2018 for Best New Starlet.
Wright came to Los Angeles in 2016 from her hometown of Oklahoma City to follow her dreams of performing, and in only two short years she’s worked her way to the top of every Porn Valley director’s casting list.
“With so many amazing fellow nominees in so many brilliant movies up for awards this year, I realize how big a deal it is to be considered for an AVN trophy, not only as a performer but also as an actress. It’s a dream come true.”
Wright will be in attendance at this year’s AVN Awards Show, set to take place on the last night of the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

ABOUT WHITNEY WRIGHT:
Adult performer Whitney Wright is one of the newest faces in the industry, and her reputation as a star on the rise is no surprise: the 26-year old raven-haired, green-eyed, all-natural beauty of Native American-Welsh descent has quickly become a favorite of porn fans – and Porn Valley studios – in a remarkably short period of time.
The star of more than 60 adult films for the industry’s top studios and content sites, launched her onscreen career in September 2016 after pursuing an education in the medical/nursing field and feature dancing at clubs in her native Oklahoma City. The shift in professions has so far paid off, and Whitney has quickly built a solid fan base and respected status amongst her industry peers, earning a Best New Starlet AVN Award nomination for 2018. “This business has been a whirlwind of excitement and opportunities,” says Whitney. “I’m just enjoying the ride.”
