An ’80’s Firecracker on Screen

She was born on June 1, 1964 as Kimberly Warner, some have said New York, some California, but no one is really sure where she grew up. Of Jewish heritage, one thing is sure and that is as Bunny Bleu she made her mark on the industry in the 1980’s. Discovered by Bill Margold, Ms. Bleu broke into the business in 1983 starting out as a “fluffer”. When she did her first full films she was an immediate hit because of her very youthful, nymphet looks. It was a look that would have her playing teen roles right into her mid 20’s.

For more than a decade she could keep playing those youthful roles. They were roles like the naive cheerleader, student or schoolgirl. In the mid-80s in the incest-themed film “Unthinkable” she played the sister of Scott Irish. Though her natural hair color was auburn, it was usually dyed blonde. Bunny was a very enthusiastic sexual performer, but was far from a good actress. Margold said at one time that either Bunny had a learning disability or just a lousy high school education, because dialogue scared the hell out of her and she always had a problem learning lines.

But even with that, Bunny still would get good roles because of her youthful appearance and carrying herself in a youthful way. This would lead to films like “Beverly Hills Exposed”, “Aerobisex Girls”, “Naughty Nurses” and “Talk Dirty To Me 3” among the close to the 300 films she appeared in.

After she starred in one of the first of Catalina Videos bisexual films, she had difficulty finding work in straight porn, as a lot of actors who were afraid of AIDS would turn down chances to work with her. Bunny left the industry in 1989 for three years but returned in 1992. Still only 28, she returned with a new look after having breast enlargement surgery and changing her hair color to her natural auburn. After her comeback she began to perform in many anal sex scenes, something she had shied away from when she first came into the business. She stayed around until 2004 before retiring for good. During her return and near the end of her career, Ms. Bleu returned to her original porn roots, so to speak, as a fluffer on “The World’s Biggest Anal Gang Bang”

Where she is today at age 52, and what she is doing is unknown. Because of her contributions to the industry she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 1997. Many of the Bunny Bleu films from the 1980’s have been remastered into DVD form.
