Denver, CO–September 30, 2026—Adult industry icon Tommy Gunn was a guest on Marcela Alonso’s award-nominated educational podcast Get Schooled to discuss his best-selling memoir, Tommy Gunn: Unloaded and the struggles of dating and romance when you are a world-famous porn star.
The episode will drop on Thursday, October 29 at 9:00pm ET/6pm PT and will air here www.podfollow.com/1631788262
“”People don’t realize how much sex workers of all genders go through in love and relationships, how hard it is in this industry, and how much we all want real connection,” says Marcela Alonso. “I appreciated how authentic Tommy was, and how openly he shared. His honesty shows that sex workers, whatever gender they are, go through the same hardships in relationships. I hope conversations like this one change things for
the better.”
In this unflinching memoir, Tommy Gunn: Unloaded takes readers inside porn valley and beyond, revealing the industry he describes as a “casino”—alluring from the outside, nearly impossible to leave once you’re in. Through candid reflections on his journey, he explores the weight of public perception, the challenge of maintaining authentic identity in a world of manufactured fantasy, and the courage required to confront the labels society places on us.
Co-authored by Jim Steele, co-edited with N.T. Anderson and Jon Ford and published by Tepris Press, Tommy Gunn: Unloaded isn’t just another tell-all about adult entertainment. It’s a deeply human story about finding yourself when the world demands you wear a mask. Tommy’s narrative transcends the industry that made him famous, offering insights into identity, judgment, and the universal struggle between who we are and who we’re expected to be.

About Tommy Gunn:
Tommy Gunn is one of the most prolific and versatile male performers of his generation. Gunn has over 3800 credits to his name at the Internet Adult Film Database (IAFD), is an multi award-winning veteran with over 20 years in the industry, and a proud inductee of the XRCO, Urban X, and AVN Halls of Fame.
Known for his rugged good looks and chiseled frame, Gunn enjoys acting, in adult as well as mainstream productions. Tommy had a cameo on HBO’s Entourage in 2010, appeared in Louis Theroux’s Twilight of the Porn Stars in 2012, landed a part in the mainstream horror film Wolves in 2014, was on a 2014 episode of Pawn Stars, when he sold his zombie apocalypse vehicle, and appeared in the mainstream film Gangster Land in 2017. A true professional, Tommy Gunn holds a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) card and welcomes opportunities to explore dialogue and performance-driven roles in both adult and mainstream projects.
Tommy’s philosophy for work and life is refreshingly simple: “Show up, be cordial, and treat your co-stars with kindness. Building a good rapport with the people you work with is key—everyone wants to collaborate with someone likable, not an egotistical person who thinks they’re above others. That’s just not a good look.”
Gunn had a big year in 2025, releasing three major projects. Fans Only: The Human Side of Porn & Fans Only 2: Dreams Fame Desire, documentaries that were produced with Joel Van der Molen chronicling aspects of Tommy’s and others’ careers in the adult industry, and a memoir published through Tepris Press entitled Tommy Gunn: Unloaded. Tommy is now incorporating aspects of those, along with his expertise in fitness, nutrition, and overall male health at The Gunn Life. Through these projects, Tommy’s goal is to share his story authentically, without holding back.
When he’s not working, Tommy spends his time enjoying the great outdoors, staying active with workouts, traveling, watching movies, and striving to be the best version of himself. In a world where perception holds power and opportunities are limitless, Tommy believes that staying authentic and grounded is the ultimate approach to both life and success.
