LOS ANGELES, CA – (July 29, 2019) – Having already earned Comedy Release of the Year from XBIZ and Best Parody from both AVN and the XRCO, Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce the recently-released 27th annual NightMoves Awards nominations have put Deadpool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody on track to become the quadruple-threat adult film of the 2019 awards season.

The Wicked Comix blockbuster’s NightMoves accolades include a richly-deserved Best Actor nomination for leading man Seth Gamble’s transformative performance as Wade Wilson – the highly trained mercenary whose amazing regenerative abilities are second only to his hyperawareness and raunchy humor.

Braun’s collection of nominations for the runaway hit include both Best Director Parody and Best Comedy/Parody/Spoof Release.

The new Deadpool XXX nominations follow the recent appearance of Braun and Gamble at the University of Southern California Santa Barbara (UCSB) for a retrospective of the filmmaker’s brilliant career presented by Emmy Award-winning and Tony-nominated writer and Professor Cheri Steinkellner’s Hollywood: Anatomy of an Industry class. Co-moderated by Department of Film and Media Professor Constance Penley (Topics in Popular Culture: Pornography), the event attracted attendees from every major at UCSB, from first-year students to advanced film and media studies majors.

Students gathered inside UCSB’s famous Pollock Theater, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to year-round programming of a diverse array of films and filmmakers. Professors Steinkellner and Penley interviewed Braun, the son of adult pioneer Lasse Braun and the father of director Rikki Braun at length. With the charisma and natural charm of a personable raconteur, Braun discussed every aspect of his storied life in a fascinating deep-dive conversation punctuated by trailers for his many award-winning parodies which bore powerful testimony to his legendary attention to detail. As the question and answer session turned to Deadpool XXX and the director’s other smash hit, the 2019 AVN Movie of the Year The Possession of Mrs. Hyde, acclaimed actor and frequent Braun collaborator Gamble joined the conversation to share candid and insightful observations on his decade-long association with the director.

The most awarded filmmaker in adult history and the only recipient of four AVN Director of the Year awards, 2019 has seen Braun claiming his ninth consecutive Best Parody, seventh Best Screenplay, fourth Movie of the Year, and second consecutive Best Director-Feature awards.

This year will see him releasing over a dozen movies: Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody featuring Kenzie Taylor as the titular superhero, and twelve star-studded all-sex titles. Like Deadpool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, all releases will be available exclusively through Wicked Pictures.
