We all love food, we all love freebies, BOGO’s, coupons and discounts when it comes to food. So here are the monthly food holidays and the various savings, freebies, coupons, etc. you can find for them at various establishments. Enjoy.
January – National Pie Day – It comes in mid January and pie people like Marie Callendar and the Village Inn offer coupons and a few fast food chains even offer up a free slice of pie. Even fast foodies like Burger King offer up a free pie.
February – National Bagel Day – It comes in early February and places like Einstien Brothers, Panera Bread and others have some freebies along with other deals you can find for your favorite bagels.
March – National Pancake Day (March 5) – Love pancakes? Then get yourself to IHOP. Free short stacks are the order of the day. Other pancake places will also have deals.
April – National Soft Pretzel Month – There are a lot of freebies and coupons for this one. Check out Snyders of Hanover and Auntie Anne’s pretzel shops for freebies and coupons for specials.
May – National Hamburger Month – My personal favorite! Just about every fast food or hamburger joint will have coupons, special prices and even free burgers during the month. If you are in a White Castle area check out their freebies. It is also National Chocolate Chip Day on May 7, so check out deals there as well.
June – National Donut Day – This year it is Friday June 7 and there are a lot of freebies and deals. Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’ Donuts, Tim Hortons are just a few that give away free donuts otr have special deals, coupons and more to celebrate the day.
July – National Hot Dog Month – Another favorite and of course we all know the famous Nathan’s of Coney Island is involved. But there are also deals on freebie dogs or discounted at 7-11, Soni and Quicktrip among others.
July – National Ice Cream Month – Besides hot dogs what else is better in the summer than ice cream, check out the freebies and special deals you can find at Baskin-Robbins, Cold Stone Creamery, Marble Slab Creamery, McDonalds and other places for a variety of specials and free ice cream.
August – National Waffle Day – It falls on August 24 and there are loads of deals for this great treat. Waffle House is the obvious choice, but there are others with discounts, BOGO’s and even free waffles. So be sure to check them out.
September – National Coffee Day – if you are a coffee drinker then September 29 is your day. Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Tim Horton’s, Krispy Kreme and a host of other regional and national coffee places have all kinds of deals, free coffee, discounts, coupons and more.
October – National Pizza Month – Now this is a month where you can find all kinds of deals from BOGO’s to free slices, to coupons good for a month and a lot more. Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, Marcos and other regional and national chains have a lot of different offers. If you’re a pizza lover be sure to look for them.
November – National Nachos Day – It is always in the beginning of the month and several chains offer up discounts, some freebies and special deals on this favorite. Check out On the Border, Salsarita’s and other places for special deals.
December – National Cupcakes and Cookie Days – Cookie day is December 4 and you find all kinds of freebies and deals at places and brands like Mrs. Fields and Toll House Café. As for you cupcake lovers that day is December 16 and there are plenty of deals to find for cupcakes. Sprinkles, South Carolines, Black Angus Steakhouse are just a few with special cupcake deals.
