(Los Angeles, CA / April 2, 2019) — Amy Baldwin and April Lampert, the wildly-popular hosts of spicy sex-ed podcast Shameless Sex, brought down the house during a recent sold-out appearance at Salt Lake City’s Blue Boutique Sugarhouse adult specialty store.
The sexual health & wellness experts held an informative, nothing-off-limits sexuality workshop that encouraged open communication and sharing – and the hosts were overwhelmed by the response they received at the standing-room-only event.
“We had tons of fans… Utah LOVES Shameless Sex!” said Baldwin. “It was an amazing experience – a number of people in the room shared their fantasies in front of everyone. One woman even stood up, talking about how she was raised as a Mormon and had so much shame around sex… she was crying while thanking us for talking about sex so openly!”
The duo allowed the discussions to roam freely within the audience, with guests engaging in positive, exploratory dialogue about sexual relationships and topics such as fetishes, toys, intimacy, orgasms and sexual/gender fluidity.
Fayth, the Boutique’s GM, says the hosts are welcome back anytime. “We here at Blue Boutique loved having them both out here,” she said. “It makes sex and sexuality not such a taboo subject, and it creates healthy relationships with real and open discussions.”
Baldwin and Lampert have already scheduled two follow-up workshops this summer at Blue Boutique the weekend of August 2nd (‘Orgasms for Everyone’) and 3rd (‘Brunch and Blowjobs’), and Baldwin encourages would-be attendees to get their tickets early. “People were calling in the day before asking for tickets because this last event sold out in advance!”
Baldwin added, “While we love teaching in progressive places like the West Coast, it was so rewarding to share our message in a state like Utah, where sex-positive conversations are much less common and still taboo…maybe even more rewarding.”
