In Enigma, Gamble and Obscura transport viewers to a captivating world of seduction and betrayal. As passion and deception intertwine, the line between desire and danger blurs, pushing art to the edge of obsession in a thrilling pursuit of truth.
As Entendre begins, an aspiring dancer (Stratton) gracefully practices her ballet moves with such passion that she ignites a flame in an admirer (Gamble), who watches her from the shadows. As her body makes love to the music, her admirer joins her on the floor, where their bodies become one in a dance that requires no words…
When casting Entendre, Gamble and Obscura knew they needed a performer with a very specific set of skills. “We were seeking someone who had actually studied ballet, who possessed that high degree of technical precision, artistic expression, and emotional depth,” Gamble revealed. “Fortunately, Melissa Stratton, with her background in ballet, was able to deliver the intricate footwork, dynamic leaps, and graceful pirouettes, all executed with impeccable control and poise.
