The fetish superstar takes the EDI East’s Champion Division, while Miss Mena wins the Showgirl Division and Penny Poison takes the Newcomer Division
June 10th, Clearwater, FL: The industry’s top feature entertainers from across North America came to South Florida last week to vie in the nation’s premier, invitation-only showgirl competition, the Exotic Dancer Invitational (EDI) East. Hosted by Monroe’s of Palm Beach in West Palm Beach, FL, the three-night event was held June 2-4 and showcased 20 contestants in three divisions—Newcomer, Showgirl and Champion. By the end of the event, three competitors shined the brightest: carnival act and alt-model Penny Poison was crowned Newcomer Division Winner; popular firetamer Miss Mena was honored as Showgirl winner, and Rubberdoll, the renowned fetish model, danced away with the Champion Division’s title.
“It was such an honor to be selected to perform at the EDI East Competition this year. All of the performers were so great, and it was a privilege just to share a stage with them,” says Rubberdoll. “When I was announced as the winner, I was blown away. It made me feel wonderful to know that the judge’s liked the show and that all the hard work had paid off. And it was extra special to have it all happen at Monroe’s, which is such a classy club that I always enjoy visiting. It’s going to be amazing to perform at the ED Awards again, and I can’t wait to see everyone at the EXPO.”
Runner-Ups in each category included: Justice and Simone Danalustrous, Champion Division First and Second Runner-Up; Angel Beau and Lady Sirene, First and Second Runner-Up in the Showgirl Division; and Reagan Reilly and Ruby Ryder, First And Second Runner-Up in the Newcomer Division.
Mini-Titles were also awarded to the following contestants: Best Overall Show: Simone Danalustrous; Best Dancer: Justice; Most Original Show: Trinity Turner; Hottest Body: Angela Sommers; Audience Favorite: Aria Moon; Best Costume: Rubberdoll; Most Extreme Show: Penny Poison; Most Ambitious Show: Lisa Licious.
“Once again, the industry’s ‘showgirl’ feature entertainers brought their energy, their enthusiasm—and their skill—in spades, at the EDI East,” says EDI Producer and Founder, Dave Manack. “Each night had something special to offer—the up-and-coming Newcomer Division, the entertaining Showgirl Division, and the elite Champion Division. We also had a fantastic host club with Monroe’s of Palm Beach, including owners Scott and Jennifer Lizza, GM Joe Bee and the entire staff of that amazing venue in West Palm Beach.”
EDI East competing entertainers also included the talents of Phoenix Phires, Crystal Rayne, Holly Hart, Jaded Dawn, Katie Sutra and Annie Lane.
