Greenwood, Casts & Crews Garner 8 Wins on Adult’s Biggest Night
(Hollywood, CA) Award-winning French Canadian adult director and writer Ricky Greenwood watched the 2022 AVN Awards at Joanna Angel’s house. His He, his casts and crews, and himself went in with 57 awards nominations, so the chances of winning one or more awards were at an all-time high. He was almost speechless when he took home the top honor of the night, and he cheered on his casts, crews, and series as they won trophy after trophy.
With 57 nominations, including two for Grand Reel for MissaX’s Blue Moon Rising and Under the Veil, Ricky Greenwood was definitely rewarded for all his hard work, creativity, and genius in 2021. He walked away with one of the biggest awards of the night for Director of the Year, and the trophies just kept on coming. Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress went to the stars of his opus, Under the Veil, Tommy Pistol and Kenna James. Tommy also scored another trophy for Best Actor – Featurette for his work with Ricky on MissaX’s Second Chance. Ricky’s go-to makeup artist and special effects genius, Alexxx Moon won for Best Makeup, for his stellar work on Blue Moon Rising.
Ricky’s film Sweet Sweet Sally Mae from Adult Time was also recognized. The girl/girl homage to 1970s exploitation cinema with the tagline “She’s Bad… She’s Mean… She’s A Lovin’ Machine!” starring Ana Foxxx tied with a Girlfriends Films’ title Lesbian Ghost Stories 5 for Best Lesbian Movie or Limited Series.
And Ricky’s Mile High projects in the trans and taboo relations genres also scored him two more wins. His series Family Cheaters from Family Sinners won Best Taboo Relations Movie or Limited Series. And Ricky’s series TS Taboo from TransSensual won Best Trans Series or Channel.
“I honestly wasn’t expecting to win Director of the Year and was pretty much speechless when it came time to speak. I work with some of the best casts and crews in adult, which wouldn’t have been possible without them. I’m also happy that AVN saw the brilliance of Tommy and Kenna’s performances in Under the Veil. Sweet Sweet Sally Mae was a pet project of mine, and I was lucky that Adult Time was behind me 100%. It was a fun movie to make, and Ana really killed it in her leading role. Thank you, AVN, for eight incredible wins for my casts, crews, and myself,” says Ricky Greenwood.
