(Hollywood, CA) Award-winning French Canadian adult director and writer Ricky Greenwood can definitely say 2021 has been his year—he and his casts and crews have dominated the 2022 XBIZ Awards, making history with 42 nominations in a wide variety of categories.
The 2022 XBIZ Awards have recognized the hardest working director in adult, Ricky Greenwood, for his contributions to the mainstream, gay and trans genres. He, his casts, and crews scored an impressive 42 nominations this year.
Three of Ricky’s movies, MissaX’s Blue Moon Rising, Adult Time’s Sweet Sweet Sally Mae and MissaX’s Under the Veil garnered the coveted Feature Movie of the Year nomination. Three of Ricky’s titles, Adult Time’s Sweet Sweet Sally Mae and AllHerLuv’s The Rose Retreat and Written in the Stars, also were nominated for All-Girl Movie of the Year. Three more of Ricky’s films from Icon Male A Man in Uniform, Hardcore Hookups 2, and Painful Love, were recognized for Gay Movie of the Year. And Ricky’s Transensual titles My Best Friend’s TS Sister and TS Adventures were nominated for Trans Movie of the Year.
Ricky also grabbed Director of the Year for his mainstream, gay and trans work.
Known for having stellar casting abilities, three of his performers scored Best Acting — Lead. Aiden Ashley was nominated for her role in MissaX’s Blue Moon Rising, Ana Fox was recognized for shining in Adult Time’s Sweet Sweet Sally Mae, and the legendary Tommy Pistol scored two nods for MissaX’s A Second Chance and Under the Veil. And four of the women he cast in some of his biggest films garnered Best Acting — Supporting nominations, including Penny Barber for MissaX’s A Second Chance, Brooklyn Gray for MissaX’s Blue Moon Rising, Kenna James for MissaX’s Under the Veil, and Scarlet Sage for AllHerLuv’s Written in the Stars.
Ricky’s scene work was also heavily nominated. Two of his MissaX scenes scored Best Sex Scene — Feature Movie. Aiden Ashley and Dante Colle’s scene for Blue Moon Rising and Kenna James & Tommy Pistol for Under the Veil both received nominations. In the girl/girl realm, three of Ricky’s films captured Best Sex Scene — All-Girl accolades, including AllHerLuv’s Sister vs. Sister with Charlotte Cross and Serene Siren and Written in the Stars with Kenna James, Scarlett Sage, and Scarlit Scandal, as well as Adult Time’s Sweet Sweet Sally Mae with Ana Foxxx and Scarlit Scandal. Two of his titles scored Best Sex Scene — Gay, and that was Noir Male’s “Dante & DeAngelo” starring Dante Colle and DeAngelo Jackson, and Icon Male’s Painful Love with Casey Everett & Nick Fitt. And his trans work for Transensual was also recognized with three nominations for Rocky Emerson and Casey Kisses in My Best Friend’s TS Sister, Casey Kisses and DeAngelo Jackson in TS Adventures, and Casey Kisses and McKenzie Lee TS Love Stories 6.
Ricky and his crew also scored many nominations for their behind-the-scenes work for MissaX’s Blue Moon Rising and Under the Veil and Adult Time’s Sweet Sweet Sally Mae. Shawn Alff, Maddy Barton and Ricky scored Best Screenplay noms, Matt Holder was nominated for Best Cinematography, MissaX received Best Editing noms, and Best Art Direction nominations were bestowed upon David Lord, Kylie Ireland, and Ricky.
