Upon Further Reflection – Wicked Pictures – Director – Mike Quasar – Cast – Avi Love, Kenzie Taylor, Britney Amber, Cadence Lux, Derrick Pierce, Ryan McLane, Jake Adams, Marcus London, Tommy Pistol

Helmed by the multi faceted director, Mike Quasar, he brings you a very solid drama about a writer, his life in shambles, a girl with a dark secret and a surrounding of various people who come and go in their loves. It is filled with plenty of twists and turns and some searing sexual encounters that help tie this entire package together. Add in a stellar cast led by the XBIZ Best Actress of the Year, Avi Love and you have a great night of adult entertainment awaiting you.

As the film begins we see James (Ryan McLane), disheveled, pouring himself one drink after another as he tries to work on his latest fiction book, but he is suffering from writer’s block. Of course the booze and shaky hands don’t help. Next we see Avi Love and Derrick Pierce who is a married man and seems to be having an affair with her. It switches back to James in the limo and on the phone with his ex wife (Britney Amber) and she is no help to his situation at all as the phone exchange tells us. Needless to say our fiction writer James is a mess. So now here he is at a bar drinking as per usual when Tiffany (Avi Love), after her rendezvous with Derrick walks in.

She strikes up a conversation with him but he is in no mood for small talk and basically puts her off, but she persists and then he tells her he wrote a book called “Reflections”. Now Tiffany is taken aback as she realizes he is James Wharton the author and it is her favorite book. Suddenly that changes things and she is able to draw him out a little and get him to talk about himself, his writing, thoughts and such. Finally he decides it’s time to leave, but she would love to hear from him again so she puts her number in his phone hoping to hear from him.

Next we get to see Tiffany telling her best friend Cadence about her meeting with James. Cadence and her husband Jake are a little concerned and hope there are no problems if she sees James again. She assures them there won’t be, but that remains to be seen. It seems as though Tiffany is going through a lot emotionally with the loss of her mother and one other small thing. Remember her dalliance with Derrick, the married man? They are not having an affair, the fact is she works as a hooker and that is what concerns her best friend Cadence if it gets found out by James.

Now we have a scene where James is getting blasted by his agent (Tommy Pistol) who really lets him have it about not working on the book, spending the4 advance and worrying about legalities. He tells James he has to find some kind of inspiration, not in a bottle, to get this next book done or there will be even more trouble. James decides to call Tiffany and they meet the next morning and discuss a lot of things about him, the book, his problems but she is willing to help him if he wants her to. The beginning of a new friendship is under way, but will it last. Will it give him the inspiration to finish the book? Will they fall in love? Will he find out about her secret? We could tell you and even more but why spoil the fun. The rest of this story line will offer up some great sex and some surprises. There is a double twist, one involving Derrick, that comes at the end of the film and it will…..oh never mind, I won’t give it away!

The writing is crisp, realistic and the direction is very fluid, not rushed and gives the main characters time to grow. The sex is very well done and placed at the right times. The casting was excellent with Avi commanding the screen with her looks  and acting ability. Ryan, as Wharton, gives one of his best performances. The rest of the cast because of their good acting chops were very realistic and believable. The cinematography, lighting and music all add to the overall look and feel of the film and story. If there is one complaint it was the background crowd noise in the bar scenes. It was a little too loud making the dialogue between Ryan and Avi difficult to hear. Other than that everything else was very well done and put together. This is excellent adult viewing for couples who like a good story along with good steamy sex. I certainly do recommend “Upon Further reflection” from Wicked Pictures.
