***** 5 stars

It is extremely rare that I do a review of a project that is only available online through a company’s member website, but this incredible project was an exception. Not only is it totally brilliant in the writing, the drama and storyline and superb casting, but it was done during the pandemic. That in itself, is a rare feat, but director Kayden Kross, the folks at Deeper and the  ensemble cast pulled it off with this four part series. I reviewed the first segment, but now you have the entire season all in one DVD to enjoy. So check out my original review of part one and then be sure to get hold of thios award nominated masterpiece of adult film making.

When you think of great pairs there were   Ruth and Gehrig, Martin and Lewis, Abbott and Costello. Now you can and Kross and Ward to the mix. These two ladies are a perfect combination of what makes a film, adult or otherwise, really click. They are on the same wavelength in every aspect and what they accomplish is simply fascinating and beautiful to watch get played out on the screen. With Maitland’s long mainstream career and solid acting chops and Kayden’s adept directorial style it is a combo hard to beat. Then add in the smoldering, sizzling, white hot, all out, no holds barred sexuality of Ms.Ward and you are privy to one of the most accomplished and complete women to come on the adult scene.

Now as for the Muse, Ms. Ward, who is a fierce red headed all business female plays the role of a professor at a very exclusive university and deals with a class filled with aspiring students with a variety of backgrounds. She gives them all a very vague assignment to write about who they really are and the revelations that come through for each of them is startling to say the least.  There is a lot of by play between some of the students and the professor. Adriana and Seth seem to have a thing, but also seem hesitant to act on it. You can also see a connection between Adriana and the professor. As for there is another side  to her persona once she leaves the classroom. Away from the university she is a very demanding, very dominant sexual  animal who finds her sexual prey in some different places. When it comes to the sex in this very dramatic offering it is hard edged, powerful, dominant and explosive. Watch her being approached by two men on the street who recognize her and want to get a selfie.  Talk about domination and who is in charge, whoa! In this first episode of this four part series your appetite is fueled not only by the story, but once you see Ms. Ward in action you will want much more.

This is an exquisite piece of film making and the shadings, looks, backgrounds, locales and pacing that Ms. Kross gives this piece really put this project over the top. Then add in some very crisp, sharp cinematography that provides masterful visuals and you have something very special. It has a number of well deserved nominations in the upcoming AVN awards and others and they are very well deserved. I strongly suggest picking up the complete season on this DVD so you can enjoy all the episodes of “Muse”. It will be an experience you will not soon forget.
