This Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Club Lure in Hollywood the XRCO Awards will take place for the 31st year. Not only will the show be in a new, and bigger, location, but it will also have a lot of new looks to the show as well, including brand new trophies replacing the old heart designed ones. The show will be co hosted by comedian Thomas Ward, who rose to porn fame, playing Bill Cosby in the Will Ryder “Cosby Family” parodies. Joining Ward as co host will be Jessie, formerly known to everyone as Jessie Jane when she was with another company, and there will be other surprises as well.
As a longtime member of the XRCO voting panel, I was looking forward to this year’s show for several reasons. First the changes, second meeting all the new stars and third getting some of the stars to come to Tampa in October for our 23rd Annual NightMoves Awards show. However, when the show was switched from its usual Thursday to Saturday I had to cancel out as family, for me, always comes first and so I will miss this year’s show.
I want to wish all of the nominees all the very best and hope you come out the winners in the various categories you are nominated in. You all gave us some fantastic, mind blowing, exceptional performances and productions this past year and all of the nomination we made are very worthy. I also want to congratulate all those entering the XRCO Hall of Fame this year, an honor very well deserved for each and every one of you.
Have a fantastic awards show this year, enjoy the comradery, fun, friendship and being part of our great industry. I will be there in spirit and I look forward to seeing many of you here in Tampa for our awards show in October.
