(Hollywood, CA) When Bad Babes Inc. was named Comedy Release of the Year at the 2018 XBiz Awards Saturday night, director Will Ryder glanced at Adam & Eve head honcho Bob Christian and conveyed a non verbal ‘mission accomplished’ message of relief.
“We felt we had a good chance to win because Bad Babes Inc. is a fantastic movie filled with great performances,” Christian said but then added, “But you never really know until you get called up on that stage.”
Ryder and Christian didn’t have long to sweat out the possibility that Joanna Angel’s Jews Love Black Cock could be named the winner because the comedy award was first up on the XBiz itinerary at a packed Marriott Hotel ballroom downtown at LA Live.
“I’ve been through this awards process on a number of occasions and it’s always exciting but this is the first time I had a real question mark just before the show started that we might get beat by a competitor. This time it was Jews Love Black Cock but the more I thought about it I have a Jewish doctor and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t like black cock so that made me feel a lot better,” Ryder remarked. “You know the more I think about it, Joanna Angel shouldn’t be spreading such racial stereotypes it’s like the hot girl telling the porn pizza delivery guy her husband is out of town and she has no money and no way to pay for the pizza.”
“I’m not getting into all that,” joked Christian. “I’m just glad Bad Babes Inc. won and I want to thank the folks at XBiz for this lovely trophy and we love Joanna.”
Bad Babes Inc. is a romantic comedy that is filled with wonderful performances and stars superstar Katie Morgan and Ryan Ryder.
“This was such a great script and it’s the first time I’ve worked with Will Ryder and I hope we do something again in the near future because Will wrote this role perfectly for me,” Morgan confessed. “Winning best comedy is amazing.”
Katie Morgan was joined in the movie by a huge cast including Adriana Chechik, Luna Star, Kat Dior, Tiffany Watson, Sarah Vandella, Sunny Lane, Kimberly Chi, Zelda Morrison, Loni Legend, Whitney Wright and Tanner Mayes. The men are Ryan Ryder, Seth Gamble, Moe Johnson, Eric John and Chris Strokes, Alec Knight, Jeremy Steele, James Bartholet and Frank Bukkwyd.
Bad Babes Inc. tells the hilarious story of a blind-sided stay-at-home wife who receives her ex-husband’s porn company in the divorce settlement. The fact she knows nothing about porn or the fact he even owned an adult entertainment company doesn’t stop her from turning the corporate doormat into a money-making juggernaut.
“I wanted the entire cast and crew to come up on the XBiz stage to share in the glory but I guess they were overcome by the joy of winning,” Ryder joked. “Thank you XBiz.”
