There is a secret suite located inside Cinderella’s Castle. It is available only for Disney contest winners and special guests and VIPs. Among the amenities are a jacuzzi, all 17th Century furnishings, a Cinderella mosaic floor all done in 24 karat gold and much more.

Trash cans at every Disney property are 30 steps away. The reason? Years ago Walt Disney would watch people and see how far they would walk before discarding trash in their hands to the ground. It was 30 steps and so today every trash can is only 30 steps away.

If you are walking down Main Street and smell the scent of fresh baked goods, popcorn, etc. that is no accident. The Disney Imagineers created very special Smellitizer machines that are able to emit the different scents from hidden vents all along Main Street.

There are dozens of secret entrances to tunnels or Utilidors for Disney employees and characters to go through to the underground area that is almost 400,000 square feet in size. This underground houses the costume shops, computer rooms, dressing rooms, showers, cafeterias and more for employees.

None of the American flags in the Magic Kingdom are real. So that they don’t have to follow the strict national flag code every American flag in Disney World is either missing one star or one stripe. Check it out next time you visit.

Disney employees are not allowed to point with one finger as it is considered rude. They are also not allowed in any way to tell a guest “I don’t know.” Even if they have to make something up that sounds right, they cannot say “I don’t know.”

Every female who auditions for the Princess role and is accepted must first work as a “furry”, which is a masked character like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. for several weeks before they can become a Princess.

There are at least 3 or more Mickey Mouse characters working the park every day, but are spaced out in various parks so as not to be seen together. There are close to 200 costumes for Mickey.

There is a hidden character in Animal Kingdom called Devine. She is a street performer camouflaged in leaves, vines and green paint. She blends in so well that it is easy to miss her and just think it is a big tree.

The one thing you will never see for sale at Disney World, or Disneyland, is chewing gum. To keep the parks clean, the sale of chewing gum is banned at all Disney properties.
