Jacky St. James is on e of adult’s best writers/directors and her various projects have always resulted in critical acclaims and award nominations and wins. With this latest effort you can add “The Puppeteer” to the list. Ms. St. James has put together a very accomplished cast to play out this sex crime drama. The premise and plot line are very realistic and the performances make this an edge of the seat thriller that will have you guessing all along. Add to that five incredibly erotic sex scenes and you have a film that will get a lot of props at awards time.
The story and plot center around Grace (Kristen Scott), a young lady who has a thing for crime cases. Her boyfriend (Logan Pierce) is a detective and she is fascinated by a case that he is working on. The case involves a very fragile man Ethan who is seeing Hannah a therapist. Her husband gets murdered and of course, all signs point to Ethan. However, Grace and her fascination with crime decides to try and find out who the real killer is on her own. This leads to some very odd twists and turns and just when you think you have it nailed…..ooops, not so fast.
Between the sex, the lies, the twists, turns and edge of your seat drama this is a very entertaining feature from the first frame to the last. Once again Ms. St. James raises the bar in bringing a mainstream like production to the adult screen. From the opening credits and a suspect (Syren De Mer) who is very matter of fact. The shots of ‘evidence’ being destroyed, the cat and mouse game played and then seeing Grace and her boyfriend as she tells him she is going to get involved in his latest case. With all this to get thing started you know there is going to be a lot to take in. Then comes the opening scene with Syren and Sean Michaels and their connection and what takes place.
Then we get to meet the therapist Hannah (India Summer) and her patient Ethan (Small Hands) who really has a perverted mind, has a thing for the therapist and can be a dangerous man. Their connection goes beyond professional and then you begin to wonder who is responsible. But again, this is just the tip of the iceberg as there are more twists and turns and steamy sex yet to come before the film ends with an ending you won’t see coming. Fact is, even Grace’s boyfriend doesn’t have a clue about the real killer as the end credits role. Great settings, super cinematography, great visuals and an extremely talented cast all blend together to make this a terrific viewing experience. This is certainly a a sex crime drama filled with mystery and some scorching sex scenes and makes “The Puppeteer” great couples friendly entertainment. So be sure to get hold of this latest from Jacky St. James and Sweet Sinner as you are in for a real treat.
