Enchanted Arms – Adam & Eve Pictures – Director – Skye Blue – Cast –  Brett Rossi, Astrid Star, Aaliyah Love, Jessa Rhodes, Chad White, Van Wylde, Donnie Rock

This is a film with a story line that comes right out of today’s world. Skye Blue has put together a very good cast of performers to bring this heartfelt and emotional story to life. While there is some blistering sex scenes in this production, it is the dramatic story and plot that take center stage. It is the kind of story that many can relate to in today’s crazy world.

Chad White plays Jace Ryan a soldier serving his country who is very dedicated to his job. But a very serious injury curtails his career in the military and he is sent home. Here he fights serious challenges both mentally and physically and is at a crossroads in his life as everything, including himself, has changed. Then things begin to change when Annie Grant (Brett Rossi) enters the picture. She is a rehab nurse at the facility with a very giving, sweet, friendly demeanor. Underneath that pleasant exterior Annie is hiding her own deep wounds. The two of them begin to form and share a bond with each other and it becomes a case of whether these two are meant to find love and life again together or not.

The first five minutes of this film sets up everything that will follow. We see Jace being driven to the rehab center and he is a very bitter, angry man. He wants no help, wants no friends, says he doesn’t trust happy people and his ini9tial meeting with the rehab nurse is anything but cordial. Then it switches to Annie awakened and shook by recurring dreams of her own that scare her. We get the feeling these have something to do with the war as well. Then the second meeting with Annie and Jace is still bitter and angry feeling that because of his legs and being in a wheelchair he has no future. The way the opening is constructed leaves you with wanting to see just how these two will co exist with their anger and other derailments in the way.

Annie comes home to find her ex waiting for her. Seems these two just can’t stay away from one another, but she is determined to move on even after they have a sexual romp in the living room. Back at the rehab center Jace meets another soldier (Donnie Rock) who is surprised to see him and mentions something about Jace’s wife Erica (Astrid Star). That brings in a flashback before he went off to war with Jace and Erica that leads to a pretty sizzling sex scene with the two of them. Back at the rehab center Jace realizes he wasn’t very nice to Annie and goes over to apologize and tell her he will do whatever she says in his rehab. She accepts the apology and makes the comment ‘once an ass always an ass.” That is directed at him. But she is determined to get him back on track. At this point I will leave the rest to you to discover and enjoy. There is a lot that takes place with these two and all they both have to overcome in their own worlds before they can move on.

The writing is crisp, realistic and tells a good, honest story. The casting is very good as both Chad and Brett are convincing in their roles showing off some excellent acting chops. The set ups, backdrops and settings are all well placed and put together, the music is perfect for the story line and different moods of the characters. The direction by Ms. Blue is steady, allows the characters to build and keeps a good pace throughout. The only problem I found was that the audio level needed to be better adjusted. Other than that this is a very good couple’s oriented feature that will keep you entertained. So be sure to get hold of   “Enchanted Arms” from Adam & Eve.
