Editor’s Choice Hits By Axel Braun, Brad Armstrong & Holly Randall Garner Best Feature Production, Best Feature Director Honors

LOS ANGELES, CA / TAMPA, FL – (AUGUST 19, 2020) – Voting in the 28th Annual NightMoves Awards has begun, and global adult entertainment studio Wicked Pictures is in contention for sixteen major nominations, including Best Feature Production recognition for Editor’s Choice releases from directors Axel Braun, Brad Armstrong, and Holly Randall. The online voting ballot is available here.

Parody king and gonzo virtuoso Axel Braun secured an array of nominations, including Best Non-Feature Director, Best Feature Director, Best Actress (Kenzie Taylor), and Best Feature Production, the latter three for his multi-award winning Wicked Comix hit Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. Among his non-feature nominations, Inked 6 and Bush 3 earned Best Taboo/Fetish/Specialty Release, while Busty Hotwives 2 garnered Best All-Sex Gonzo Release.

The nominations earned by contract performer, writer, art director, and filmmaker Brad Armstrong spoke to the eclectic nature of his talent. His intense 2 1/2 hour blockbuster saga Lost Love earned him Best Feature Director, Best Feature Production, and Best Actor nominations.

Celebrated filmmaker, photographer, podcaster, and author Holly Randall’s couples dramas Finding Rebecca and Stranger Than Fiction both received Best Feature Production honors and deservedly earned Randall Best Feature Director attention.

Climax, a star-studded Dorcel production from Europe featuring Angela White, Avi Love, Britney Amber, India Summer, Jane Wilde, and Whitney Wright, garnered a nomination for Best All-Sex Gonzo Release. Dorcel’s elegant erotica has been domestically distributed on DVD by Wicked for over twenty years.

Finally, as befits studios adhering to the highest standards of beauty and excellence in direction, eroticism, and performance, both Wicked Pictures and Axel Braun’s parent company Axel Braun Productions received Best Production Company nominations.

“It’s an honor to see Wicked’s contract talent and adult industry collaborators nominated for such a wide range of projects,” said media liaison Daniel Metcalf. “The features run the gamut from a powerful special-effects laden superhero parody and an intricate, emotionally driven story of loss to smart, sexy dramas. Similarly, the all-sex titles from Braun and Dorcel nominated in the Best Gonzo and Best Specialty categories are each stylistically unique and tailored for maximum appeal to a specific niche. Wicked strives to create the best movies possible and appreciates NightMoves for recognizing the effort.”

The 28th Annual NightMoves Awards Show winners will be announced this October in Tampa, Florida. In a prepared statement, event organizers announced, “The NightMoves Awards were started in 1993 and are the third oldest continuously running adult awards show in the United States. The NightMoves Awards are an offshoot of NightMoves Magazine, owned and operated by Paul and Tracy Allen. The NightMoves Awards were the first to allow fans to select the winners, making it the original fan-based awards. They were also the first awards show to allow online voting.”

ABOUT WICKED PICTURES
Established in Canoga Park, California on March 1st, 1993, Wicked Pictures was formed with a firm commitment to producing quality adult productions created specifically for women and couples, a decision the company has stayed true to for over twenty-seven years, even when this mission has seemed at odds with prevailing economic trends. And after a health scare in 1998 led many companies to begin instituting policies of mandatory condom usage, Wicked is the only producer still safeguarding performers’ health by continuing to adhere to this policy over twenty years later. Wicked continues to diversify and expand its commitment to couples’ intimacy through such initiatives as the romance-driven Wicked Passions label, the AVN / XBIZ award-winning franchises Wicked Comix and Wicked Fairy Tales, the award-winning educational series jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex, and the Wicked Sensual Care line of luxurious lubricants and enhancers. These forward-thinking ventures allow Wicked to explore new ground while staying true to its core vision of producing quality adult entertainment and strengthening its appeal to women and couples.
