Ten of the selections went to projects helmed by director Ricky Greenwood, with Trouble securing Best Supporting Actress nominations for both Lilly Bell and Jane Wilde, whose work together was further recognized in the Best Sex Scene – All Girl category.
The overall excellence of the filmmaker’s transcendent More was honored with XBIZ’s top nomination, Feature Movie of the Year, while his all-sex release Climax 3 received Featurette of the Year. Both projects secured Best Sex Scene – Feature Movie designatons; the More nomination championed a sequence featuring Kenna James, Lumi Ray, Whitney Wright, Mick Blue and James Bang while the selection of Climax 3 honored the project’s entire ensemble cast – Lilly Bell, Kira Noir, Alexis Tae, Maya Woulfe, Alexia Anders, Isiah Maxwell, Nathan Bronson, and Alex Jones.
More received technical nominations for Best Cinematography (Matt Holder) and Best Art Direction (Greenwood), and Greenwood’s Ana 4 You secured Best Sex Scene – Featurette for stars Ana Foxxx and Johnny Castle.
Fittingly for a brand revered as a pioneer in developing video on demand as a commercial media distribution system, Dorcel received a nomination for VOD Company of the Year, while its flagship portal DorcelVision.com secured VOD Site of the Year.
The 2024 XBIZ Awards will recognize the best in the industry on Sunday January 21 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California.
