Welcome to “Couples Night with AAN”. Each Saturday we will have a review of a film, recent past or present, that is couples perfect. The kind of film you can have some adult refreshment and snuggle up with each other and enjoy a night at the movies in a very special way.
When this film made it’s debut in the latter part of 2025 we said then it would be a hit and award worthy. We were right on both counts as reviews and acclaim all positive came quickly. It garnered both a number of nominations from both XMA and AVN and would win several awards last month at both award shows. It is a full blown murder mystery with a complex story, twists and turns, edge of your seat drama and sizzling, steamy sex. The perfect cuddle up, get close film for couples. So, get comfy and be ready for a very exotic, erotic and entertaining evening.

Take a well written whodunit mystery as the starting point. Then, bring together a solid cast to bring it to life. Next, you turn it all over to the multi award winning director Ricky Greenwood and presto, you have a hit on your hands. That is exactly the package you have with this well done release that has some edge of your seat moments and twists and turns. All put together in some great locales with Greenwood at the helm and you have a very exciting and entertaining treat to view.
The premise here is that in this small out in the middle of nowhere town, a murder has been committed. Problem is the town sheriff played by Isiah Maxwell has little to go on in trying to solve it. Then suddenly the FBI gets involved and the lead investigator, played by Blake Blossom, takes over which does not please Maxwell but he knows that he has to help. He gives her what information he has and they team up to find the killer. After cruising the whole area they get a hotel and separate rooms, but the sexual tension has been building all day. Blake decides to go after Isiah and get the sex out of the way, but he’s not interested. So pent up with desire Blake gets her jollies off with the hotel desk clerk in a very steamy scene.
There is a lot going on in this story but it is well done in every aspect. Driving down the road Blake and Isiah pick up to hitchhikers and give them a ride until Blake’s car breaks down. They leave their riders to watch the car while they seek help. But more hell breaks loose as the hitch hikers flag down a truck, hitch a ride and also some hot three way sex. In the meantime Blake and Isiah find someone to fix their car, but unaware that this person is very much involved the murder and a lot more.
An extremely solid story well written and performed. A great cast, the acting is top notch, the locales fit perfect and the sex is steamy, sizzling hot. There no real disappointments here as Greenwood, as always, meshes everything together in a very exciting package. Look for this to get plenty of award consideration. If you like mysteries, steamy sex and a good, believable story and plot, you have that with this release. Great couples viewing, enjoy!
