HOLLYWOOD, FL—Brandi Love regrets having to cancel her upcoming appearance at Exxxotica New Jersey after receiving numerous serious violent threats against her person online from industry colleagues and their fans over her political opinions. Brandi chose to cancel after she received death threats and overt messages of violence over her post regarding the Cornell 7.

Brandi’s been very vocal online about backing the boys right to due process. According to Brandi, the post was intended to call attention to and mock the absurdity of the mob justice that broke out online.

“You don’t just get to label people rapists,” Brandi said. “It was at the time and remains factually and legally inaccurate and libelous. I channeled a bit from a Friends episode, mixed it with a Sydney Sweeny-esque photo and wrote two words. Cornell and the number 7. That’s all it took to send a certain segment of unstable people in our industry into a deranged frenzy. The fact that it did means that it was effective. It had the desired effect. Some of these girls actually celebrate and have hashtags celebrating Charlie’s murder. That’s how sick they are.”

Ultimately, she made the choice to skip the popular event, for her safety and the safety of other performers.

“After speaking to my security team as well as Dan Davis of Exxxotica, I decided to pull out of the event,” she said. “The safety of the fans as well as the other performers must always come first. Nowadays, when you have people making those kinds of threats, you have to take them seriously. This decision was not made lightly. I always look forward to spending time with my fans but their safety will always come first.”
