(Hollywood, CA) It’s a case of art imitating life for Taiwanese-born award-winning adult film director for Delphine Films Bloomer Yang—he’s got a non-sex role in Delphine Films’ new feature “Hang in There, April.” He’s a real-life comedian that goes by his alter ego Oliver Wong, and he’s doing stand-up at The Comedy Store on Friday night.

In addition to writing the script and directing, Bloomer Yang makes two appearances in Delphine Films’ new feature “Hang in There, April.” He’s got a brief cameo in Scene 1, “Get That Refund” of “Hang in There, April,” as a comedy show producer who does his business from the toilet. Bloomer is trying to book April (April Olsen) for his next stand-up show. And he does his business from the toilet. Scene 2, “Get That Laugh,” is set to debut tomorrow night. Bloomer is the host/producer of a comedy show who brings April on stage. And he also gets to tell some jokes about Grindr, sugar daddies, and dick pics. “As much as I like writing and directing, I’m so excited about my cameos in the first two scenes of ‘Hang in There, April.’ Plus, I get to tell jokes. I hope the fans and site members enjoy my screen time,” says Bloomer Yang.

And Friday night continues his reign of comedy and is taking over The Comedy Store as part of the Deez Nuts showcase. It’s his first time performing at this show and sharing the stage with so many legendary comics. Tomorrow night, Oliver will be one of the rising star comedians taking the stage of the renowned Original Room of The Comedy Store. Vargus Mason hosts and hand picks the hilarious and diverse comedians for the monthly show. Oliver will slide in some new material mixed with his hit stand-up, so be ready to laugh your ass off. Taiwanese-born adult film director Bloomer Yang is one of the biggest rising stars on the director front. With over 50 scenes filmed for Model Media USA’s studio Delphine Films delphinefilms.com, his standout films feature great storytelling and passionate sex scenes with three-dimensional characters that he writes and directs. His goal is not just to get the viewer off but also to get a reaction which might even include tears or laughter. Classically trained, Bloomer holds a Masters in Screenwriting and a Bachelor’s in Film Production. In 2022, he was nominated for a pair of Fleshbot Awards nominations for Movie of the Year and Best Oral Sex Scene, which he took home the trophy for. The AVN Awards also nommed him for his Best Directing Portfolio – Narrative, scene work, and Mainstream Venture of the Year for his stand-up comedy as Oliver Wong. The XBIZ Awards also nommed him for Director of the Year – Feature and an additional eight noms for his scene work.

Bloomer is a man of many talents, including his comedy career under the name Oliver Wong. In 2018 after graduate school ended, he had a dead-end job and visa issues. Looking for an outlet to express his feelings, he stepped onto the stage of Flappers Comedy Club for his first show, and the rest is history. Like most comedians, his style is a cross between self-deprecating and observational. He uses being Asian, a gay man, an immigrant, his HIV Positive status, and his career as an adult film director as fodder for his comedy. His comedic influences include Ali Wong, John Mulaney, and Iliza Shlesinger.

Bloomer is also a podcaster with a show called “Get Intimate with Oliver Wong.” In April of 2021, he recorded his first show and has guests from all walks of life, including journalists, educators, writers, comedians, nutritionists, and of course, adult.
