Over the years and decades a lot of things have been banned in cities, towns, counties and states throughout the U.S.A. Some make perfect sense, but some  make no sense at all. Here are just a few from around the country that will make you laugh, shake your head or go, “WTH?”. The sad fact is most all of these are strictly followed by law enforcement. At the end is the link so you can see for yourself some of the things banned in all 50 states.

ARKANSAS – In Little Rock it is against the law to blow your horn at a sandwich shop after 9 p.m. They will actually write you a ticket if you do and get caught.

CALIFORNIA – In Walnut City, you are forbidden to wear masks or costumes which really makes Halloween a dud. However, you can go and hopefully get permission from the Sheriff.

CONNECTICUT – in the town of Bloomfield it is against the law to eat in your car and the law is strictly enforced by fines. So go through the drive through but don’t dare eat those fries or burger in your car or else.

HAWAII – This one should be everywhere. It is illegal to look at your mobile phone or text while crossing the street. Enacted earlier this year, it is strictly enforced and fines begin at $15 and go to $99. Fort Lee, New Jersey also has this law and the fine is $85.

ILLINOIS – In the town of Collinsville no saggy pants are allowed. Pants must be secured at the waist to prevent the showing of a person’s underwear or skin. The fine is $100 and community service for a first offense. That should be everywhere.

NORTH CAROLINA – Crimes against nature are strictly prohibited. What are crimes against nature? They include consensual sex between two people of the opposite sex. Sex outside marriage is also illegal in the state. So that basically means every married couple is breaking the law.

VERMONT – Since 1999 the state has mandated that with Apple Pie the official state pie, it must be served with a glass of milk, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a slice of cheddar cheese weighing a minimum of a ½ ounce.

VIRGINIA – In both Chesapeake and Newport News, you cannot go trick or treating at Halloween if you are over 12 years of age. If you are over 12 and do go, you are subject to a fine of up to $100, a jail stay or both.
