NFL-Super-Bowl-LVIII-Allegiant-Stadium – 1

In just 5 days the biggest sports event in all of sports history will take place. It will be Super Bowl LVIII played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Making their fourth appearance in the past five years will be the Kansas City Chiefs. They will face off against the San Francisco 49’ers making their sixth appearance. The last time these two met was in Super Bowl LIV in Miami with the Chiefs winning 31-20. So, this all sets up to be quite game between these two teams.

Of course as we, and the entire world knows, this game will have one more added attraction that has football fans in a wild, off the rails, ridiculous frenzy. That is the fact that super star Taylor Swift will be in attendance to root for her boyfriend TE Travis Kelce of the Chiefs. Ever since she became involved with Kelce back in September 2023 and made her way to Chiefs games, both at home and on the road, it has created a crazy mix of love and hate. But it has also upped the interest in NFL football for whole new segment of fans.

Unfortunately, there are too many knuckle dragging Neanderthals out there who hate her for “ruining” their sacred game with the networks constant cuts to her during a game. Fact is the so called “constant” cuts to her in a game may be three or four and add up to a grand total of 20-25 seconds. Some people need to grow up and get a life. They have gone so far as to create ridiculous, but scary and dangerous conspiracy theories about Ms. Swift’s reasons for being at the games and that she is just “play acting” with Kelce and it is all set up.

The one big conspiracy going around, and that many actually believe involves the NFL, the Pentagon, certain Democrat big wigs and the White House. According to the “theory” the Pentagon got the NFL to arrange for Swift and Kelce to be brought together as a “couple”, rig a few games to make sure the Chiefs win and Taylor continues to show up at games. Why the cloak and dagger routine? Because the White House knows she is very influential with young voters and this is a way to get them to vote for Biden while becoming quasi football fans and adding to the NFL popularity. They even go so far as to say that at the end of Usher’s halftime show, Taylor will come out on the field and announce her backing of Biden. Yep, totally crazy, but there many who believe it. Forget the fact that these two stars are the real deal as a couple and having a great time together and enjoying family, friends and life. Noooooo, this cannot be, it is all a set up to get Biden reelected.

Forget the fact that Taylor Swift leaves behind millions for food pantries and charities in every city she performs in. It is also a reason why so many cities are begging for her to make an appearance with her tour because they know what she means to the local economy and charities. She also gifted all her dozens of truck drivers that haul all her tour props, equipment, etc. with $100,000 checks for their hard work. This woman, like her music or not, deserves a lot of love, not hate, for all she does for people everywhere. I may not a big fan of her music, but I am a huge fan of her as a businesswoman, performer (3 hour non stop shows), as a giver, not a taker, as a dedicated and charitable person and as a human being who continually pays it forward in many ways. I wish her and Travis all the best and truly believe they may have found what they really need in each other.

Now, as for the game, it is really one that may be hard to predict. We all know what Mahomes, Kelce and company are capable of and you just never know what surprise Mahomes will pull out of the bag. On the other hand, you have the 49’ers with Purdy and McCaffrey leading the way, here again you never know what surprises are coming from the 49’ers. There is also one other factor that could affect both teams, the artificial turf at Allegiant Stadium. Over the past season many teams complained that it is the worst in the NFL, blamed for injuries and unsafe. Both the Chiefs and 49’ers play on natural grass, so this is something to watch out for and see if it has any affect.

As for my prediction on the game, the over/under is 47.5 and I will go with the over. I will also take former Buccaneer, HOF’er John Lynch’s 49’ers over the Chiefs 31 – 24. It should be a very interesting game and I am looking forward to it. I hope you all are as well and will have a great Super Bowl Sunday.
