The Turning

“The Turning – A Lesbian Horror Story” – Girlsway.com – Director – Bree Mills – Cast – Anikka Albrite, Adriana Chechik, Carter Cruise, Dana Vespoli, Tara Morgan, Mercedes Carrera, Jelena Jensen

In honor of this being Halloween weekend what better way to get started than with a good sex filled horror story? With an all star cast of some of porn’s hottest, sexiest ladies they bring this story to life in a very realistic, scary, edge of your seat, wet your pants kind of way. The story and plot that unfold in this production and the various characters will have your eyes glued to the screen watching for what happens next. It is also done in segments, there are six in this one, so that you can follow the story even better from beginning to end. If you think that just because it is all female that only women should watch….wrong! This is one that will have men’s eyes, and who knows what else, popping and for couples this will definitely get you closer together in a frightful but exciting way.

The opening has some very haunting music and eerie visuals over the credits and then begins with scenes of L.A. traffic and the radio voice talking about a virus going around that only affects women. A quick cut to a field where there are three females and one lunges at the camera with a vampirish look. Switch now to 48 hours earlier and we see Halle (Adriana Chechik) showing up at her foster home which is castle like, and then writing in her diary about how she doesn’t fit in with anyone.  Her foster mother (Dana Vespoli) is very religious and her daughter Kara (Anikka Albrite) are discussing her but the daughter feels she is a total loser and wants nothing to do with her or have her part of the family.

The mother calls Halle in and tells her she can plan Kara’s bachelorette party weekend much to the anger on Kara. Thrilled to have the chance Halle begins to plan  the party when she hears her sister on the phone berating her, calling her a bitch and that she will never be considered her sister. This puts Halle in a very upset mood so she calla s a support counselor she knows and tells her what is happening the counselor (Mercedes Carrera) is a bit off the wall an tells Halle to come by her place. In the meantime our sort of hippie counselor is preparing to help Halle but not in the way Halle hopes. What takes place after she arrives sets the tone for what will begin to happen in Halle’s life. The build up in this scene to the sexual encounter is very well played and put together in a very realistic and believable way. There is a major twist at the end of Part One.

Part Two begins with Halle’s foster mother on the phone talking to her church pastor and thinking that she may have pushed to fast with Halle in getting to do the bachelorette party. While she and the daughter are talking about the wedding, Halle comes home and Kara starts in on her again. The two of them get into a big argument, but suddenly Halle begins feeling weird and has flashbacks of what took place with the counselor and they have her reeling. The mother finally gets Kara to give in and apologize, by threatening to not pay for the wedding, but the wheels have already been set in motion for everything that will follow. Mother takes Halle up to her room as she is still having the flashbacks, but of course won’t say what the problem is. Mother give her an aspirin, tucks her in bed and the say a prayer together. Halle tries to go to sleep, but the flashbacks of what took place with the counselor are more frequent. She gets up trying to shake them off but the feelings and images keep coming. Halle goes to her mother’s room and when she sees her and the strange look on her face she wants to know what is wrong. Next thing you know Halle attacks her mother in a very ghoulish way.

Okay, now that I have you this far, the rest of this spell binding, edge of your seat story and plot is for you to watch and enjoy. But I warn you, there are more twists and turns in this production than on a country road. Not to mention lots of all out, very intense, very hard edged sex. I will tell you that the ending is not what you may expect. As we said there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you wondering just what can happen next.

The entire production from music, to settings, the lighting, pacing and the crisp writing really are all tied together extremely well. As for the acting, it is way above par, Adriana  plays the best part she has done yet, Anikka as the spoiled sister has the bi-atch role down perfect, Dana is excellent as the mother, Jelena Jensen as Dr. Elixr is terrific and the rest of the cast stand out in their roles big and small. The cinematography is exceptional, clean, sharp and allows for some great visuals as the story moves along. I can definitely see this production being up for a number of award nominations at awards time. I very highly recommend “The Turning – A Lesbian Horror Story”  from Girlsway, our “Friday 4 Star Feature” for your Halloween, or anytime, entertainment experience.  Oh, when the credits roll at the end, do not turn the DVD off, there are some fun clips during the credits.
