Sleeping With Danger – DreamZone Entertainment – Director – Barrett Blade – Cast – Abella Danger, Karmen Karma, Brooklyn Chase, Steven St. Croix, Tyler Nixon, Tommy Gunn, Ryan McLane
A dramatic parody of the Demi Moore mainstream hit “Sleeping with the Enemy”, this version is very action packed, both in and out of the bedroom. Making her dramatic debut, Abella Danger plays her character with all of the fear that her nightmare of a marriage creates. In order to get away from her dominating and controlling husband, she fakes her own death. Does it work? Is this woman finally set free? Discover the outcome for yourself in this exceptionally well done film with a stand out and award worthy performance from Ms. Danger.
It opens with Kerry (Abella Danger) sitting on the sofa, a look of fear on her face, even though it is her anniversary. Husband Steven St. Croix comes in and right away you can see his controlling ways with his wife. She is wearing an outfit that he likes and she gives him a watch for a present that he makes no fuss about. This leads into the first sex scene in the film. They go at it and Kerry plays the obedient wife to her husband’s demands in a very intense sexual encounter right in the living room. Fear or not, the sex that takes place does get her going full bore, but that is not enough in this marriage.
The next scene has Kerry in the bathroom and when she doesn’t fold up the towel the exact way after washing her hands her husband smacks her around demanding she do it right. It is at this point she decides she needs to do something. He leaves for his office and at this point she decides to leave him, fake her own death and get away. She finds solace in a friend (Tommy Gunn) and of course that leads to another sexual encounter, only this one is filled with passion and desire. At the office Steven tells co worker Ryan McLane it’s his anniversary and is leaving early. When he gets home he finds the wedding rings and a note. He then sets out to find her and get her back.
What take place after that leads up to the finale where Kerry is confronted once again with her menacing husband. Good friend Tommy also happens by at just about the same time. This leads to the final conclusion of the film. Who wins, who loses, how does it all turn out? Get hold of this one to find out.
While the film has some loose ends and things tossed in to add a couple of sex scenes with Ryan, Brooklyn, Tyler and Karmen, it is still a nicely done production with rich settings and backgrounds. Obviously a lot of storyline has been left out, but the gist of the story and plot remain true to the original to make this a good thriller to view. Some of the audio was at a very low level at times making dialogue from Steven hard to hear. What really carries the film is the acting of Steven St. Croix, who is one of the best in the industry, and the surprisingly good acting chops displayed by Abella Danger. The two of them with the dialogue, the looks and body movements made the characters very believable. If you want some entertaining couples fare, I highly recommend getting hold of “Sleeping with Danger” our Four Star Feature for this week at AAN.
