4 XRCO Nominations; Featuring in Philly Area This Weekend

VENICE, CA – Anikka Albrite and her husband Mick Blue aren’t just the #1 couple in the American adult industry, they are a worldwide sensation.

They have been honored and awarded in Europe, starred in a mainstream film in Austria last year and this week they are featured on the front page of Australia’s number one news site with a huge story promoted as “Inside the world’s most open marriage” and titled “At home with Anikka Albrite and Mick Blue, the ‘Brad and Ange’ of porn.”

The story, which was #2 on the News Corp-owned News.com.au’s most-read list on Monday, was penned by doctor and author Dr. Nikki Goldstein. The Herald Sun has also picked up the story.

“This happily married pair are award-winning and highly in demand adult performers, the ‘Brangelina’ of the porn world,” writes Goldstein. “They became the first married couple to simultaneously win male and female performer of the year at the Adult Video News (AVN) Awards in 2015, with Mick taking out the best male award again this year.”

But Goldstein went deeper: She hung out with the couple and even Anikka’s mom at the Adult Entertainment Expo and even at their home in California. She goes deep with Anikka about the struggles of being a porn star and dealing with things like people’s preconceived notions and they also discuss how they remain a couple while the other is having sex with other people several times a week.

“There was this part of me that was very hypersexual, and before I got into the industry I didn’t have an outlet,” Anikka told Goldstein. “Then I got into this industry and I have this life, but when I come home all I want to do is be with Mick.”

Closer to home, Anikka has received four nominations for the 2016 XRCO Awards: Female Performer of the Year; Superslut; Orgasmic Analist; and Best Gonzo Movie for Anikka’s Anal Sluts (BAM Visions/Evil Angel). She is the reigning XRCO Female Performer of the Year.
