The Adam & Eve Pictures movie was written by Will Ryder and is quite a departure for the director whose name has long been synonymous in adult entertainment with parodies, musicals and comedies. Ryder treks into the thriller porn genre with the now nearly-completed paranormal movie The Cursed XXX that will be released later this spring.
The movie marks a reunion for Ryder with the 2016 AVN Female Performer of the Year Riley Reid, who he last directed in 2013’s Grease XXX: A Parody, which was an award-winning musical also for Adam & Eve.
“Riley is a dream come true in every way,” Ryder said. “She’s a very talented actress, she doesn’t bitch and moan, she’s very helpful with acting suggestions and willing to spend endless hours on set,” Ryder remarked. “Plus I think she’s going to surprise a lot of people with the role she played in this movie. I’ve loved her since the moment I met her six or seven years ago and her character Abigail is really creepy.”
This movie is already a bench mark of sorts for Ryder when super director and award-winning actor Brad Armstrong agreed to play the male lead.
“It was a hunch of mine to call Brad on the phone and see if he even wanted to be in our movie,” Ryder remembered. “I wasn’t even sure he would take my call but he did and his performance is spectacular. I have a lot of respect for him both as an actor but also as a director of sensational acclaim so just imagine how thrilled I was and I’ll admit now, how nervous I was the first day on set with him. Coolest dude around though and wow what a performance.”
Ryder, a AVN, XRCO and NightMoves Hall of Fame member, wanted to provide movie lovers with the first look at the official trailer. As many know, Ryder and his production partner Scott David have created some of the biggest selling adult movies in history such as the Brady Bunch spoof Not the Bradys XXX and are fresh off award victories at the 2018 AVN, XBiz and last October’s NightMoves awards shows for their comedy Bad Babes Inc. but now step into completely foreign genre with a paranormal movie for Adam & Eve Pictures.
The Cursed XXX stars: Riley Reid, Kat Dior, Sarah Vandella, Misty Stone, Holly Hendrix, Nia Nacci, Chloe Scott, Victoria June, Maya Bijou, Ziggy Star, Lucky Starr and Veronica Valentine. The men are Brad Armstrong, Seth Gamble, Chad White, Mike Mancini, Frank Bukkwyd, Connor Kennedy, Eric John and James Bartholet.
The production also tapped stunt masters Dick Chibbles and Jack Vegas to coordinate a number of complex body stunts using body doubles supplied by 1AM Doll USA. “1AM Doll really came through in a big way by supplying us with life size sex dolls that we used for the more dangerous stunts,” stated co-producer Scott David.
“Believe me when I tell you, their dolls weigh eighty five pounds and are very lifelike. We caught a few of our crewmembers with their pants around their ankles,” Ryder joked.
The Cursed XXX will be released later this spring.
