World’s First Intersex Porn Star is Subject of Baltimore Artist’s ‘Covergirl’ Series!
BALTIMORE, MD (January 23, 2015) —Taylor Chandler, the famous lover of Olympian Michael Phelps, is included in the “Covergirl” photo art series by artist Rivers Scott Fisher. The series will premiere in June, at the Jordon Faye Gallery in Baltimore.
The celebrities that Fisher has included in this series to date are Judy Garland, Dana Plato, Candy Darling, Lynda Carter, and James Franco, using iconic photographs in a style that is part-Andy Warhol and part-John Waters.
“I was happily surprised and in awe when Scott Fisher asked me to be this year’s ‘Covergirl’ model,” says Chandler. “When I saw my idol Wonder Woman, THE Lynda Carter, as part of his series, it was a no-brainer. I’m so humbled and absolutely honored with this opportunity.” Chandler, who has made no secret of being a “Wonder Woman” fanatic, is immensely proud to be in company with her idol.

Last month, Chandler made the cover of The National Enquirer after recently coming out to her friends and family on Facebook. Since then, the web media has been flooded with Chandler’s story, not only about her recent tryst with the Olympian which followed his DWI and a stay in rehab, but about her being born intersex and educating and raising public awareness. Since the story broke, she has done interviews with The Daily Beast, The Daily Dot, and The Daily Mail.
Taylor Chandler has taken her media attention to become the subject and star of the Vivid Entertainment Celebrity Series’ film, “Going for the Gold,” and the author of “The Making of ‘Going for the Gold’,” published by Riverdale Avenue Books. The 42-year-old revealed in a recent interview with Howard Stern the dalliance with the gold medal superstar has made her unemployable in her previous career, as a sign language interpreter on Capitol Hill.

As I read more and more about her, I found myself feeling very compassionate about her situation. Taylor’s story is incredible: it’s filled with tragedy, love, and hope.
