The republic of about 7.2 million people has only enjoyed legal access to adult entertainment for the past 25 years. While porn production and distribution is technically illegal, consumers are able to easily acquire imported videos and magazines in selected adult shops with little trouble.

“For Bulgaria’s residents, adult content is still fairly ‘underground’, but the cultural mindset is quickly changing,” said Wozniak. “According to our research, we predict a solid, steady increase in Bulgarian streaming sales in the next few years.”
