Every month we get hit with the deaths of celebrities from the entertainment and sports world. However in this month of July the number of well known celebrities went overboard. They say everything comes in threes, but in this month of July that was repeated over and over. In case you may have missed any of these passings, here are the people who gave us many good memories, that we lost in the month of July.
Connie Francis – Singer, the “First Lady of Rock and Roll”. She was 84 years old.
Ozzy Osbourne – Original lead of Black Sabbath, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was 77 years old.
Hulk Hogan – Professional wrestler, WWE Hall of Fame. He was 71 years old.
Malcolm Jamal Warner – Actor, “The Cosby Show”. He was 54 years old.
Shelley Duvall – Actress, The Shining, Annie Hall. She was 75 years old.
Chuck Mangione – Jazz musician, trumpet, 2 Grammy wins. He was 84 years old.
Cleo Laine – Jazz singer, actress, Oscar winner. She was 97 years old.
Bobby Jenks – MLB pitcher, Chicago White Sox. He was 46 years old.
Tom Troupe – Actor, Star Trek, Cheers, Broadway. He was 96 years old.
Ann Burrell – Celebrity Chef, Food Network star, cook book author. She was 55 years old.
Ryne Sandberg – MLB player, Hall of Famer, Chicago Cubs. He was 65 years old.
Julian McMahon – Actor, Nip/Tuck, Charmed, The Fantastic Four. He was 56 years old.
Eileen Fulton – Actress, Emmy Awards, As the World Turns for over 50 years. She was 91 years old.
Michael Madsen – Actor, Quentin Tarantino films, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He was 67 years old.
On the bright side we still have these stars and legends with us, still bringing us unforgettable musical moments…………Ringo Star 85, Paul McCartney 82, Mick Jagger 82, Paul Anka 83, Herb Alpert 89, Dionne Warwick 83, Smokey Robinson 84 and Willie Nelson 92 to name a few, plus these stars………
Al Pacino, actor – Winner of an Oscar, Emmy. Tony, Golden Globe. He is 85 years old.
Eric Braeden, actor – Emmy winner, Rat Patrol, Titanic, Young and the Restless. He is 84 years old.
Rita Moreno, actress – Achieved EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony) status. She is 94 years old.
Johnny Gilbert, announcer – He is the long time “voice” of the Multi Emmy winning “Jeopardy!”. He is 97 years old
So goodbye July and hello to August. Let us hope and pray that this coming month isn’t overrun by the losses of celebrities we have all enjoyed and loved in our lives.
