***** 5 stars
Written by the acclaimed multi winning director, producer, writer Axel Braun and directed by another protégé of his, Claudia Ross, you are in for quite a ride. This is the perfect title as hunger comes in many forms. There is hunger for food, for love, for success, for world peace and of course, the hunger for sex. That is basis for this complex story about a woman who has it all in her life. Yet she still has a hunger for sex that takes her into a lot of unchartered waters. It is a film that won the XBIUZ award for Best Couples Feature and is also a nominee for Best Feature at this year’s XRCO Awards in May.
Emma Hix brilliantly plays our lead character Lauren in a narrative styled dark drama. She has a good life, a great husband, money and everything a woman in love could want. But she also has that unending hunger for sex and more sex. Lauren’s husband is played by director James Avalon and even after getting it on, you can see in her eyes that it was not enough for her. He is dedicated to his work and that leave Lauren chances to explore that “hunger”. She gets in the car at night and drives to one of the bad, seedy parts of town by the railroad tracks and spots a girl (Ruby Moon) walking alone by the tracks. She watches then gets out of the car and slowly pursues her. Finally, the girl has had enough and wants to know why she is being followed. It doesn’t take long for the reason to become clear and next thing you know these two are at it hot and heavy in Ruby’s ramshackle tent near the tracks. It is a powerful, intense scene between these two as their sounds and reactions tell. The late night lighting effects only make this scene more erotic.
After that experience and returning home it now shifts to the next morning and Lauren, still needing more, wants to give hubby a blowjob, but he turns it away as he has to much work to get done. So once again Lauren is off for a tattoo appointment, but the tattoo she wants is the furthest thing from her mind. When she arrives and sit with her artist (Tommy Pistol) and he begins to sketch the tat’s outline, she wastes no time maneuvering him into touching her in places he shouldn’t, but Lauren and her “hunger” don’t care. Another artist at the shop (Lucky Fate) sees what’s going on and Lauren is quick to invite him to join them. The two guys have that “hit the jackpot” look and the tat session turns into one hell of a hot threesome with everyone getting all they wanted. Once again Emma shines in every way. Still, after leaving the shop, it’s not enough for Lauren.
The next stop for Lauren is an antique shop and while she is there browsing at some items, she spots a couple in a somewhat hidden aisle having some fun with each other. That’s enough for Lauren as the “hunger” takes over. She gets turned on watching Cherry Kiss and Victor Ray and just goes to them and in an instant the three of them are going at it every way they can. Damn, I never have that luck when I’m in a store! Emma and Cherry connect and soon they are both working him over and by the time it all ends with an explosive finish, Lauren straightens up and leaves the shop.
But wait……………there’s even more in the final scene when she arrives home. We’ll leave that one for you to enjoy. Let’s just say that Jay Romero in this scene is a powerful partner to what goes on with Lauren and once again her “hunger” gets filled regardless of what lines it may cross when it comes to satisfying that need.
It’s easy to see why this was an award winner and also a nominee. First there is the overall setting for each scene with the lighting, the direction and blending it all together in a very artful way. Then there is Emma Hix, in probably her most dramatic and sensual role yet. She is outstanding in every way as a solid dramatic actress and a scalding hot sexual performer. The supporting cast add plenty of reality to their roles to make this tale a complete story of what one woman’s ‘hunger” can create for her and those in her life. A great film for couples to enjoy, so be sure to get hold of this award winner, there are no disappointments here at all..
