When you have a powerhouse director like Ricky Greenwood at the helm you know it is bound for success. His knack for being able to head up any kind of production, drama, comedy, trans, musical, etc. is unparalleled. So, when the production was an all out old time western style film, who you gonna call? To create just the right tone for this film, the locations for the shott were excellent, the settings, wardrobe and music were exceptional. The writing, plot and delivery were well put together to give the production  a solid framework and then there was the casting of the performers. Naturally Greenwood wants the best he can get for every production, but not only as sexual performers, but as convincing actors as well. With this cast he, once again, nailed it on both counts.

All the action takes place in a dusty old western town called Santa Clarita. It is also the home of one of the focal points of the film, the Gold Diggers Saloon and brothel. When news of a gold rush breaks out prospectors from everywhere descend on the town all wanting to get rich quick, not an easy thing to do. Among the prospectors are some neer do well folks. It is at this point that two of the women in town Maria (Kimmy Granger) and Sade (Adria Rae) team up to hunt down a wanted man, the notorious and seemingly evasive Charles Glanton (Scott Nails).

Aside from all the prospectors in town ready to part with their money, the ladies know there is a huge reward for the capture of Glanton. If they can use their various talents to bring this man in the reward money can get them away from the life they are leading and on to better things. The way this film is set up, the story line is easy to follow, the characters are quick to develop into good and bad making this an entertaining view from start to finish. The sex scenes in the film have it all to give plenty of variety. The first is a hot three way with Abigail Mac, Gail Ritchie and Ricky Johnson that pretty much sets the sexual tone on the film. By the way, instead of the usual four, there are five sex scenes in this film and they are all integrated in the plot.

Do the girls capture the wanted man Glanton? Oh, do they ever and it is one hell of scene. These ladies are rough and tough and know just what it takes to accomplish their goal. With the reward money they can now, strike it rich on their own and leave thislife and town in the dust. As for the rest of the folks in Santa Clarita, lets just say that everything isn’t always a bed of rose and digging for gold doesn’t always “pan” out the way it is hoped for. But some find their way, find their gold and find their happiness. As for all the others, well they just fade away.

There have been several features in recent times with an old west theme that were very good. This latest effort from Greenwood ranks right up there as one of the better ones. As we said in the open, Greenwood is a master of his craft and can take on any genre and turn it into something special. This film has already garnered a number of award nominations from both AVN and XBIZ and more will follow that. This is another solid entry on every level, a great snuggle up couples friendly feature that has it all. I most definitely recommend getting hold of “Gold Diggers” and enjoying a steamy, sexy western.
