Good to see DP getting back into the big budget features like the old days. Remember back during the time when “Pirates” and “Pirates II” was done? Great stars, great stories, big budget to allow for great locales and sets. Filled with action, great acting and real raw and passionate sex scenes. That is pretty much what you have here and also as a tribute to the late Robby D. who was so instrumental back in the day with DP. It was originally done earlier this year as a four episode view on the DP sire and now it is all together in DVD form.

The storyline here is about a military Special Ops unit that is led by Kira Noir, who is exceptional in her role as Nikki Ransom, one helluva badass, take no bs, fierce leader of this group. She gives off a very impressive performance in both her acting abilities and her consummate sexual power. She is definitely a force to be reckoned with as her squad finds out as well as who they are hunting down. Her paramilitary unit is brought together through General Tate, wonderfully played by the late Herschel Savage who sends them on a mission sent to track down and capture a disgraced colonel, Joe Riggs (Alex Jones) who has betrayed and disgraced his uniform and country. The big problem that makes this assignment even tougher for Nikki is that she and Riggs have a previous history together in and out of the bedroom and that could really through a monkey wrench into this secret assignment.

But she puts the past aside and makes sure her squad is ready for whatever comes their way. It will be a tough assignment and no guarantees everyone will come out of it alive. They understand, so lets get some hot sex in before it’s too late. When Nikki’s squad gets unexpectedly ambushed by Rigg’s bunch of rogue fighters, henchmen, etc. the action really picks up and the wild shoot outs, explosions and fierce fighting starts as Nikki’s group tries to maintain the upper hand. There are twists and turns that take place as the action moves along and gets more intense and personal along the way. When Nikki finally comes face to face with Riggs it is a stand off that she wants to handle in her own way. What happens next is where a big twist in this story takes place, but it is not what you make think. So we will leave you in the heat of battle to find out how this all concludes and who comes out on the winning end and how.

The AVN and XBIZ awards will be presented in January and the nominations for both have been announced. I can tell you that this DVD between AVN and XBIZ has a combined twenty award nominations in a variety of categories like Best Feature, Grand Reel, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Three Way Sex Scene, Best Cinematography being just a few of the nominations. You can find them all on both the AVN and XBIZ sites. With all that being said this is a film that will walk away with a number of wins and a film you must get hold of. It has plenty of action that comes at you fast and furious. It has some sizzling, hard, intense, no holes barred sex and a story line that will hold your interest start to finish. Once again Ricky Greenwood hits a grand slam with “Machine Gunner”.
