Braun’s Big-Budget Parody Hits Stores as Mainstream Counterpart Scores Record Opening
LOS ANGELES, CA – (August 15, 2016) – Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that its first 4K Ultra HD production, Suicide Squad XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, is now available on DVD nationwide, following its August 3rd premiere on wicked.com. Porn parody king Axel Braun’s spoof is emerging as an instant hit with viewers and retailers alike, while its mainstream inspiration, Warner Bros’ Suicide Squad, just scored a record opening weekend with $135M domestic and $267M worldwide, although it continues to flounder with critics. Despite such high-profile stars as Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Cara Delevingne, director David Ayer’s film has been rated a dismal 26% by influential review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes.
