LOS ANGELES, CA / TAMPA, FL – (July 21, 2016) – VH1 Behind The Music staple Bob Seger famously sang “I used her, she used me, but neither one cared – we were getting our share” in his 70s radio anthem “Night Moves.” With the 24th Annual NightMoves Awards nominations recently unveiled, Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that it too is getting its share – of the acclaim. The company received sixteen major nominations – its highest NightMoves tally to date – including Best Director nominations for its entire roster of feature filmmakers – Brad Armstrong, Axel Braun, Stormy Daniels and Jonathan Morgan.

The nominations which went to veteran contract performer, writer and filmmaker Brad Armstrong spoke to the diversity of his talents. His fine work in front of the camera was recognized in the Best Male Performer category, while the overall excellence of his output as a filmmaker earned a Best Feature Director nomination. A Best Feature Production nomination went to his hit jessica drake / Asa Akira drama Starmaker, while his big-budget spoof Magic Mike XXXL: A Hardcore Parody, also starring drake and Akira, earned a Best Parody Release mention. Ms. drake’s excellent work in these features and others earned her a well-deserved Best Female Performer nomination.

Parody king Axel Braun secured a similarly impressive collection of nominations, including both Best Parody Director and Best Parody Release, the latter for his multi-award winning Wicked Fairy Tales hit Peter Pan XXX: An Axel Braun Parody.  Axel Braun Productions contract star Carter Cruise earned Best Female Performer and Best Body nominations, while her Wicked Comix vehicle Supergirl XXX: An Axel Braun Parody was honored with the coveted NightMoves “First Choice” accolade and a Best Body nod for co-star (and ABP contract beauty) Riley Steele. Carter’s Braun-directed designer showcase Cruise Control was also nominated for Best Feature Production.

Wicked contract director and industry icon Stormy Daniels’ epic western adventure Wanted, co-produced by Wicked and Adam & Eve,earned a Best Feature Production nomination, while the uniformly high caliber of Ms. Daniels’ output was recognized in the Best Feature Director category.  Veteran contract director and comedic specialist Jonathan Morgan also received a much-deserved Best Feature Director nomination.

Finally, as befits a company earning accolades in such eclectic areas of production, directing, acting, performance and eroticism, Wicked Pictures received a Best Production Company nomination.

For his part, President and Owner Steve Orenstein couldn’t be more pleased to see his filmmakers and performers rewarded so handsomely, observing, “We’re thrilled to have our directors and contract stars nominated for such a wide range of projects. We strive to create the best movies we can and appreciate NightMoves for noticing.”

About Wicked Pictures: Established in Canoga Park, California on March 1, 1993, Wicked Pictures was formed with a firm commitment to producing quality adult productions created specifically for women and couples, a decision the company has stayed true to for over twenty years, even when this mission has seemed at odds with prevailing economic trends. And after a health scare in 1998 led many companies to begin instituting policies of mandatory condom usage, Wicked is the only producer still safeguarding performers’ health by continuing to adhere to this policy over seventeen years later. Wicked continues to diversify its commitment to couples’ intimacy through such initiatives as the romance-driven Wicked Passions label, niche imprints like Wicked Comix and Wicked Fairy Tales, the AVN / XBIZ award-winning educational series “jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex” and the Wicked Sensual Care Collection of luxurious lubricants and enhancers. These forward-thinking ventures allow Wicked to explore new ground while staying true to its vision of producing quality adult entertainment and strengthening its appeal to women and couples.
