Swing Life

The Swing Life – New Sensations – Director – Jacky St. James – Cast – Cherie DeVille, Kiera Nicole, Jodi Taylor, Britney Amber, Chad White, Michael Vegas, Ryan McLane, Richie Calhoun

From the company’s Tales from the Edge series, writer/director Jacky St. James takes a look at the swinger lifestyle. As someone who has been in this lifestyle for more than thirty years, it definitely peaked an interest in me and how the scope and feel of this lifestyle would be presented in adult porn form. The story is nicely done, the writing is realistic and there are elements here that are very spot on when it comes to the lifestyle and becoming part of it. A very competent cast carries out their roles in a very realistic, natural way to make the overall production a much more believable one.

In the opening segment titled “My Neighbor’s Wife” we see Gillian (Jodi Taylor) and Lindsay (Keira Nicole) talking as husbands Joe (Michael Vegas) and Patrick (Chad White) enter the living room. But it is later that Lindsay tell her shocked and surprised husband what she found out about their friends, they are swingers. Next is a scene by the pool and Gillian and Lindsay are talking when Gillian suddenly kisses Lindsay who is somewhat taken by the impulsive kiss. Then we see Lindsay and Patrick talking about whether they would or wouldn’t and while they are sure, the next scene pretty much answers the question as they get together with Gillian and Joe. First it’s Lindsay with Joe and he is very gentle, doesn’t push but they have an attraction and get it on hot and heavy. Later we see Lindsay bringing hubby Patrick into the living room and who is there but Gillian. She encourages him to have fun with her and assurews him it is all good. They start in as Lindsay watches and masturbates herself as she watches the two of them go at it.

The second segment titled “Borrowed Wives” has Carolyn (Cherie DeVille) and Tyler (Ryan MacLane) as a very traditional, in love married couple. However, they do have a curiosity about the swinging lifestyle. That is where two friends, Jenny (Britney Amber) and Max (Richie Calhoun) come into the picture. While they are curious about it all their first attempt doesn’t go as planned and they feel that maybe this is n’t for them and staying traditional is…..or is it. We’ll let yopu discover how this segment all works out, what takes place and what the ultimate answer is.

As is always the case there is a good narrative that takes place with the different scenes to give you a first hand feel of what the characters are thinking and feeling. These narratives are nicely done and add to the scenes. The cinematography is excellent along with the lighting to give off good, full effects and visuals of the characters and action. The writing, as we said above, is realistic and believable. While it is a different feel in the lifestyle for newbies in a swing club scene, this is pretty much how much of it goes when it is just two couples looking to indulge in the lifestyle. If you have given swinging some thought, or are in it, “The Swing Life” will be a very entertaining and enjoyable DVD to watch together, so check it out.
