Including Fans, Local Sex Education Advocates,
Health Care Activists, & Adult Stars!
 Marriage 2.0 New
SAN FRANCISCO (May 7, 2015) – A packed theatre featuring hundreds of movie-goers, including local sex education advocates, health care activists, adult stars, and fans greeted the screening of the independent adult film “Marriage 2.0” in San Francisco. The event, which raised funds toward the St. James Infirmary and the Center for Sex & Culture, was the film’s public premiere.
The event was presented on May 2 at the Victoria Theatre, which is known for its eclectic mix of independent films and its history as a former adult film theater. The evening began with Red Carpet arrivals hosted by famed performance artist Fudgie Frottage, followed by the screening, a presentation by the filmmakers, and a VIP party which featured adult stars and cast members India Summer, Ryan Driller, Dylan Ryan, Nina Hartley, Mickey Mod, Andre Shakti, and others.
The cast was joined by “Marriage 2.0” director Paul Deeb, the film’s writer Magnus Sullivan, and author Chris Ryan for a lively question-and-answer session about the acclaimed film, which mixes hardcore sex with compelling narrative about a couple in an open relationship.
Among those attending were Carol Queen, founder of the Center for Sex & Culture, Cyd Nova, program director for St. James Infirmary, as well as members of the San Francisco Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and others. Also lending support to the event was Pandora’s Pops, which donated aphrodisiac treats. The evening was organized by Prince$$ Pandora.
“It was incredible! A totally unique event – the best celebration of adult cinema I’ve ever heard of,” said Sullivan. “The performers had the opportunity to witness a large audience react enthusiastically to a narrative drama. 400 people arrived to watch this film, and 400 people were in the theater for the credits. The atmosphere was festive and celebratory before the movie and awestruck afterwards.”
He added: “Many people approached me to say that they have never watched an adult movie in its entirety and that this played like any “real” movie  – like a good indie film with sex. ‘Game changer’ was another phrase I heard more than once.”

Vanessa Pinto, a writer with Badoink.com, attended the premiere. She documented her impressions: “Open relationships force you to be very honest with your partner, and it bonds you in a different way. ‘Marriage 2.0’ does a brilliant job of this. They also have amazing sex scenes mixed in with this narrative…[It] held our attention for over an hour; how many times can you say that after watching porn…It’s definitely a movie you will talk about after you watch it.”
SFist.com contributor Joe Kukura was also in the audience. He wrote, “The film is a legitimate achievement with a dialog-driven plot, moving performances, and stunning cinematography of our beautiful Bay Area – as well as some attractive people boning.”
“Marriage 2.0” features performances from adult entertainment stars such as India Summer, Ryan Driller, Dylan Ryan, Nina Hartley, and Mickey Mod, along with appearances from internationally renowned sex and relationship experts, such as Emily Morse, Chris Ryan, Marcia Baczynski, Carol Queen, and Reid Mihalko. The film follows a couple (India Summer and Ryan Driller) on their search for personal freedom, as well as emotional and sexual bliss within the context of an honest and committed modern relationship.
The film has received much acclaim, earning Movie of the Year honors the Feminist Porn Awards last month in Toronto. In addition, the un-rated version of the film received the Best Narrative award at New York’s CineKink Film Festival in February. The movie premiered February 26 on AdamAndEveTV.com, an Adam & Eve property powered by GameLink.com.
